At 9 going on 19 I would so recommend a more "big girl" restaurant - Flying Fish (with carnival games afterwards) or California Grill - great view, plenty of food selections for picky brother, they will make a fuss over her . . . .
Its definitely child friendly and mine totally enjoyed it from age 4 until the present 18. That said, depending on how many courses you order it can be a long dinner. Some adults struggle with sitting through a 2+ hour meal, especially after a day spent in the parks...
we have always enjoyed San Angel for lunch although you will read mixed reviews on this. Since it was always just me and ds I found this cool, dark and somewhat mysterious place was a great spot to relax and regroup. DS always loved the ride and loved watching others...
We try to eat lunch there every trip - its me and ds now 18. We love the fish and chips and he also loves the bangers and mash. Both very fond of the sticky pudding which we share - whoa its rich. We have only had dinner and viewed Illuminations from there once and did not enjoy it...
yes, even while eating the buffet you can order eggs your way, or, as my son did one, chocolate chip pancakes rather than the plain ones on the buffet; a smile and a tip go a long way!
OOOh, I can't imagine putting a tired 2 year old thru a 3 hour dinner. My ds always loved Sci Fi - fun to eat in a car and watch movies. He also loved San Angel although many will disagree with the quality of the food. We always enjoy it. Flying Fish is great food but really loud...
How old is your child? Some little ones are frightened by the animal noises. Mine always LOVED going there. So much to see and hear. We never got reservations just sat at the bar in the funky animal bar stools. They have great smoothies and good pub grub.
We always stay at YC and eat breakfast almost daily there. Never around for lunch as we are in the parks and always preferred other spots for dinner until our last trip in March. We were tired, not up to Yachtsman and thought we'd just give it a try. We loved it. Quiet...
Its always been Sci Fi for us. We are in that rare group that absolutely hated 50's Prime Time. We have always loved the atmosphere at Sci Fi. The food is not gourmet but they make a mean burger, good salad and onion rings. You can't beat the movies and sitting in...
We always stay at YC. One character breakfast at Cape May per trip but the other breakfasts are room service or Captain's Grille. My ds is a good eater and loves their buffet while I always order from the menu. It is great service and good portions. Their waffles are way better than...
You will receive lots of input as this has recently been discussed. My vote is for Cape May. It is less noisy than Chef Mickey, less hectic and really good character interaction. That said, if your children are really young and love Winnie the Pooh you might consider...
Its not nearly as noisy. We have always had great service and thought the food was good. They always seem to resupply the food before platters, etc. are even 1/2 empty so the food is always warm and fresh looking. I always wonder what they do with...
We were there in March in a deluxe water view - no dvd or vcr but a great radio/clock/cd player. Agree with there was so little time in the room. We did, however, get addicted to those vintage Mickey cartoons!!!
Maybe we can get back to celebrity sightings - know there are lots of threads on those. Like when that freak Mariah Carey was at our hotel, YC. She had a mini skirt on and enough hair and make up for 3 people and she was absolutely and totally charming and sweet and adorable to my...
We are in the minority of folks who just do not like Prime Time. We absolutely love Sci Fi and it is always one of the first ADR's that I make. I know there are a lot of mixed reviews on the food but the atmosphere is so neat and we have always had cool servers. Their milkshakes...
At 6 and then 11 my ds loved pretty much any character breakfast. He also loved Sci Fi at MGM, San Angel at Epcot, Cosmic Ray at MK and also Casey's (he loves hot dogs) and Rainforest Cafe at AK. Additionally, Beaches and Cream at YC.
