Question re: WDW Hotels sold out 11/30 to 12/5

We have booked a trip to go to WDW for five nights from 11/30 to 12/5 staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Our friends now want to join us for the same dates at the same resort and there are no rooms available. In fact, there are no rooms available at any WDW resorts for those dates. Why are these...

    40 inch height requirement

My 4 year old is currently 39 1/2 inches barefoot and 40 inches with her sneakers on. How strict will cast members be for the 40 inch requirement rides? I'm assuming they measure her with her sneakers on. Or, do they take that into consideration when measuring her for 40 inches and would in...

One night of dining outside of theme parks

My family and I are coming into Orlando one day before our Disney Cruise. We want to eat at a resort restaurant and we think we want to check out the Boardwalk. What are people's thoughts on Big River Grille vs Trattoria Al Forno? I have two children, 3 and 6, so I'm not looking for anything...

    High Prices on Monorail Resorts

Hi, I'm planning on traveling in 1st half of November and looking to stay at a Monorail Resort. I've noticed that nightly prices are higher than I have ever seen them during this time. I understand rates to usually be around $400 to $500 per night at this time of the year. However, I can't...

    Questions regarding Pirate Night?

My family and I board the Disney Dream for a 4-night cruise in a few weeks. Can anyone shed some light on Pirate Night? Specifically, how dressed up due the adults get? Are the majority of adults in costume or just a few? For little girls, are they in costume other than Pirates or Tinker...

5 days - which park on day 5?

I think everything depends on where you are staying and how you are departing the Orlando area. If you are staying at one of the Monorail hotels (GF, Poly, Contemporary) that I would definitely do the Magic Kingdom. If you are staying at a different hotel, then I would do one of the other...

Questions regarding mickey's not so scary HP

We are considering making a trip in October with my 4 yr old and infant. I've noticed that many days the MK closes early at 7pm for the Halloween party and then reopens for guests who've paid to go to the party. How do they clear the park so quickly and then turn it around and re-open? On a...

    Stroller Rental

Can anyone offer some advice regarding strollers for two children (almost 4 yr old and a seven month old)? Which of these two options do you think would be better: 1) two separate strollers - a snap-and-go for the baby and an umbrella for the older one or 2) renting a double city mini. My...

Rider switch with small children question

Going to be traveling in June with DW, DD (3) and DD (will be 6 months old at the time). How will the rider switch system work for us? Our older DD will want to go on most rides with the exception of the extreme rollercoasters. However, our younger DD will not be up to nor permitted on many...

    Tony Town Square..

The food at Tony's is just OK...basic Italian food, certainly not as good as the Italian restaurants in Epcot. However, the service is excellent. Additionally, if you can line up your reservation so you're eating during the Main Street Electrical Light Parade, you get a great view from the...
