Perception of slow service vs reality

We ate at Topolino’s last night. We were in no rush. We ordered our drinks and apps at the same time and took our time ordering entrees. My pet peeve is having the apps unfinished when the entrees are served. Order to meet your needs.

    Masks OPTIONAL Indoors at WDW...

We were in Epcot yesterday. 98% of guests wore no masks, including children, inside and outside. On Spaceship Earth we were seating in the same car as another family. Last week on Pirates, only every other seat was filled. Hopefully this will move things along.

first time post covid, trying to wrap my head around dining changes--please help

Mobile ordering in Epcot makes no sense when you can walk up to the events kiosks and order in person. It’s a contradiction.

    Eliminate the Park Reservation Requirements

I agree. Cast members are often the next to the last to know.

    Eliminate the Park Reservation Requirements

A cast member at guest services told me yesterday that it’s “here to stay”, for staffing purposes in the parks. My response was, that it’s predictable by the number of room, reservations in the resort hotels and the Hotel Plaza, all which link for access to dining reservations. Disney has...

    Eliminate the Park Reservation Requirements

We have been to Disney World multiple times when a park, usually the MK, has reached capacity. You just go to another park. Most people tend to be self regulating. I have left Hollywood Studios and gone elsewhere when it’s gotten crowded. The reservation system removes that option.

    Eliminate the Park Reservation Requirements

They haven’t actually made that statement. They have opened up reservations to include it. It can be dropped at any moment, just like the masks and distancing requirements are.

    Eliminate the Park Reservation Requirements

With mask requirements, physical distancing, etc being relaxed, it’s time to eliminate park reservations. Universal has done so. How Disney hopes to fill the huge number of hotel rooms when they come back on line and not make the parks fully open without a reservation is not sustainable. Who...

Rumor: Water Sprites Have Been Eliminated

We bought the Captains plan at the Poly one year over a long weekend while we were staying at Shades of Green; 6 hours for the price of 4 decided up how you wish; 3 sprites for 2 hours, 2 four 3, etc. We had a cast member who decided not to keep track or deducting 30 minutes when it should...

Any peeps about restaurants coming back?

Enhanced unemployment benefits of $300 per week in ending June 26. That should help the labor shortage. If workers were smart they would take their applications to the upscale restaurants where diners tip well now.

    Vaccine proof

RCCL stated recently backed down on that requirement to comply with the law in Florida. I would expect that it applies to all of their cruises now.

SHADES OF GREEN at Walt Disney World Resort Information & Questions

September and October are completely booked, yet asking on that page if they are booking at capacity unleashed a whole new set of drama about the “military, risking jobs and false information”. 😂😂. I just called. They are not booking at full capacity and hope to have good news soon. I am...

The necessities. My parents were very frugal.

    Birthday surprise Jaleo or Trattoria

We dined at Jaleo Friday and this has to be one of the worst restaurants at Disney. While service was good, food was subpar. I ordered a glass of Tempranillo which was served chilled. Undrinkable. We ordered the tomato brushed bread, which did not appear to have fresh tomatoes. The cheese...

    Disney spring double tree

We have stayed at the Doubletree multiple times and as recently as two months ago. It’s a bit of a walking hike to Disney Springs but it easily sleeps 6, has one bathroom,, two TVs, a kitchen area with a small fridge, micro, sink and coffee maker. Free brewed coffee in the lobby. It is clean...
