EasyWDW / notfrosty Josh / obituary

Back in 2012 when I was planning our first (and what I thought would be our last) WDW vacation, I stumbled across Josh's site. I loved his sarcasm, honesty, and candor. I feel he helped make our first trip the success that it was and caused a lifetime love of Disney for our family. With every...

Will Universal go maskless with the governors new announcement?

We've been twice now with masks and it does make touring more difficult, especially on 90+ degree days. That said, these last two trips are the first time that *no one* in our family has become sick on a trip to Disney/Universal whether it was a cold or the Great Stomach Bug of 2015 that took...

    Best Food in Universal?

We love 3 Broomsticks for a late breakfast (around 10 am). The food is good and breakfast includes butterbeer! We ate at the crepe stand on Friday and it was amazing. My lemon blueberry crepe was delicious but DH's brisket was even better. I love sweets and for me to prefer his crepe says...

ROYAL PACIFIC RESORT INFO...FAQ and more......

Just as a heads up they are now leaving an empty room between parties "as available". I'm pretty sure the hotel was sold out Friday night and we had people in the room that connected to ours (as evidenced by our next-door neighbors coming in at 2 am and loudly discussing their evening). The...

READ POST 1 & 2 FIRST-Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group Planning and Information-*No Spoilers*

We were in the park on Tuesday, September 29th. We took Uber to Yacht Club for a 7:30 am ADR at Ale and Compass, checked in right at 7:30, seated around 7:40 and were done with breakfast by 8:30. (AMAZING breakfast, BTW. The blueberry bacon pancakes and omelet were fantastic and the caramel...

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

I feel safe here but would still ask for surface parking. FWIW I'm pretty sure DH was told at check-in that Tower 5 is currently under refurb so that is less of a chance that you would be given a room with deck parking. (He *thinks* he was told 6 recently completed refurb and 5 is currently...

Just back 9/20- a few thoughts on the current status of the parks

Popping in to say I agree with @ruthies12 completely on crowd levels. We're staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek right now and decided to pop over to IOA on Friday after check-in since it was on the way to Costco. It felt very different from our July trip. The family in front of us waiting to be...

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

We're here now and things are busier than I expected. Crowd levels at the resort seem similar to when we stayed here over Halloween in 2017. Admittedly we stayed on Universal property in July but it feels *very* different from two months ago. I'd say it's 50/50 with mask compliance in the...

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Shopping and Merchandise: Savi’s, Droid Depot and More!

We went today (4 pm or so on a Saturday). We waited about 5 minutes to get in. One of the CMs at the SW Galactic Outpost store told us to "shop there and save your time in the park for rides" and I couldn't agree more. The store is small but we probably spent almost an hour in there. An...

    Uber/Lyft safety measures

That's our main concern. I'm more than happy to order an XL for distancing and wear our masks but I know others won't.

    Uber/Lyft safety measures

Has anyone taken Uber/Lyft around WDW recently? I have a breakfast ADR at Ale & Compass on our HS day and want to get a ride from WBC but DH has concerns. I know each driver is different but are they adhering to safety protocol for the most part?

Just back 9/20- a few thoughts on the current status of the parks

We stayed at HR in July and walked over to RPR one night to check it out. We had no problems whatsoever. The only thing I think you can't do is pool hop.

Just back 9/20- a few thoughts on the current status of the parks

I had the same thing happen to me. I wear a patch for motion sickness and became woozy after riding Forbidden Journey which I have not had a problem with before. The patch was slightly expired so I just chalked it up to that. Thanks for the info on the crowds. We have a trip planned very...

What rides don't allow fanny packs/ running belts?

For Hulk and RRR there are no loose articles at all. You can tuck your lanyard in your shirt but everything else has to go into a locker. There's no avoiding the lockers if you want to ride those two.

What rides don't allow fanny packs/ running belts?

With the covid protocol in place, the lockers can get time-consuming. As PP said, they are keeping an eye on how many people are in an area at one time. The lockers at Hagrids are especially busy - one time I had to wait for a locker for at least 5 minutes. They won't let two people into the...

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Shopping and Merchandise: Savi’s, Droid Depot and More!

Add me to the list of people wanting to know what the experience will be like. We haven't mentioned to the kids that Savi's is reopening and hopefully we can surprise them. We only have one day in HS and it's going to be our last trip for a couple of years (at least). I don't think the kids...

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

We're in the same boat - we managed to get a 2 bedroom for 7 nights for slightly more than the room deposit+parking at RPR with an AP discount. It was a no-brainer!

    Wait Times Today

I think the extra $145 makes it totally worth it. We did a CB family suite for our first visit and, while we enjoyed it, we all agreed that it was worth the extra expense for the convenience of staying at one of the EP hotels and having the ability to quickly and easily walk to the parks. We...

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

Can someone tell me the current check-in procedure? Is it the way it was pre-covid? The last time we stayed at WBC was in 2017. We had planned on staying on-site at UO for this month's trip but became nervous when we heard the rumors that UOR would be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays *and* I...

    Experiences with masks in heat

They're adult sizes but from what I understand the size difference is in the length of the ear loops rather than the mask itself. I, my 13-year-old DD and 11-year-old son all wore medium masks (although we had to do a twist to the ear loops on one of his to get it to fit well). DH wears a...
