September 27th, 2018 - 7 Night Canada Cruise from Quebec

Howdy from Houston, Texas y'all! This will be cruise #6 for us (second on the Magic). My wife has already signed up for the FE list. I have to say this is the quietest/smallest FE group for us to date. Is anyone aware of a Facebook page?

    What to do in Houston

I disagree with you. I also noted it's a commuter/Greyhound type bus which are the nicest buses in Metro's fleet. For the most part, Metro's buses are all pretty nice. I've taken the 102 from IAH to downtown many times and it's mostly people that work at the airport and nobody bothers anyone.

    What to do in Houston

You can take the 102 bus from Terminal C to the Downtown Transit Center. Go out door C-106 from baggage claim, walk across all lanes of the pickup area and you'll see the shelter. It'll take you to the Downtown Transit center. From there you can pick up the light rail to the museum district...

Poll on Why we think DCL changed their alcohol Policy

You're right but your sage advice doesn't help those of us past our PIF dates.

Poll on Why we think DCL changed their alcohol Policy

This sounds like a regional thing (ie, European cruise) so why punish us across the pond?

DCL carry-on alcohol policy changing Sept. 30 2015

OK, is it me or was DCL trolling people with this pic on their Facebook page? https://www.facebook.com/DisneyCruiseLine/photos/a.439257829654.220208.300173409654/10153524613119655/?type=1&theater

Did you send a letter to DCL regarding the new carry-on beverage policy?

I sent an email to the CEO, Karl Holz. I strongly urge people to contact them in some way, shape, or form to make our voices heard. Like kid-at-heart, remind them of how many cruises you've taken and what you have planned for the future. You can complain all you want here but it's going to...

    Wonder - November 9, 2013 - Bahamas from Galveston

Howdy y'all, I'm not on your cruise but was on this sailing last week (the 10/26 one). I want to advise those of you driving through Houston to Galveston to check for highway closures ahead of time! The day we sailed (10/26), I10 was closed at the Grand Parkway in Katy (westside) for...

Using Neodymium Magnets for Over the Door Shoe Holders

With the ban on over the door shoe holders (ODSH) to store your toiletries, has anyone found good neodymium magnets to hold their ODSH's that they like? What weight limit would you recommend? Thanks! D/2

    Galveston DCL Airport Transfers

If you're interested...to get to the IAH Marriott, you'll take the train the one level below baggage claim (regardless of terminal). It's automated and one comes around every 3-5 minutes. If you're an airline buff, there's a store at the Marriott called the Stopover Store. They have all...

Transportation from Houston airport to Galveston

I probably wouldn't go walking around the area for three hours at night but you should be OK. Just don't leave anything of perceived value in sight in your car while parked anywhere.

Port of Los Angeles Hotels and Safe Areas

While not near the port, we stayed at the LAX Hilton Garden Inn in El Segundo and it was a great property. We had not rented a car but it was about a seven minute walk to Ralph's which is a Calif. version of Kroger. I think it was a very safe area.
