    DiveQuest cancelled indefinitley

I got a call two days ago from Disney telling me that our reservation at Epcot DiveQuest could not be honored because they were having to suspend it indefinitely. They said it had to do with "animal safety" and it seemed to affect all the guest interaction programs at the Living Seas. The...

    Another BC or Swan Question

I think that is a wise decision and also one you will be very happy with. You will love the Swan.

I guess it depends on how much time you will be in the resort. You are there for 7 days so are you spending a lot of time at the Dolphin? If so then $50 might be worth it.

Dolphin vs. Family Suite at ASMu

Yes, the Dolphin hands down! I see no advantage at all to to the All Star resort. Dolphin has location, nicer rooms, better beds, better pools!

Pluses: Location (as above), Disney Transportation to Parks, etc., Heavenly Beds (better than Disney's), Starwood Preferred Guest points for free and discounted stays, Starwood (Westin and Sheraton) staff on par with Disney. great onsite restaurants, Disney Extra Magic Hours, discounts abound...

Best way to get from Poly to BWI?

It may not be quite as quick but you could take the bus to DHS and then the boat to the Boardwalk. Depending on the weather it might be fun!

It is a good starting place, but keep in mind that there is no guarantee that you will get an upgrade or even if you do it seems that it is rare that they tell you (email etc.) before you check in. In my case, they noted my request and will let me know at check-in. But I can wait, as it is...

Resort for 1st timers w/ no kids

I would also agree that the Swan/Dolphin would be a perfect fit for your adults only trip. As this will be his first trip since long ago, I think the setting of the Swan & Dolphin plus the more adult feel may make him feel "eased into" the on property resort feel. Also, with the money you will...

While I don't think reservations are required for Fresh, they are easy to make online. Go to http://www.swandolphinrestaurants.com/fresh/index.html and click on reservations.

I submitted a request about a week or so ago via the swandolphin.com website and I got a response this mornin via email. It said that my celebration had been noted on my reservation; but no upgrades can take place until check-in.

Questions about Monorail and Epcot resorts

Perhaps the best way to find out for yourself may be to try a less expensive Epcot deluxe like the Swan and Dolphin. They are priced more like the moderates, but are nicer in some ways that the Disney Deluxes. There are some downsides: they are not owned by Disney but Starwood (Westin...

    Question about Cabins

We have stayed several times at the cabins and never had a problem with any critters or bugs. The cabins have always been super-clean and Ft. Wilderness is a great resort to relax in.

Our stay at the Dolphin is now less than 5 weeks away! Has anyone ever used the VIP Concierge Services (at the www.swananddolphin.com website) to request a room upgrade? Was it successful?

What do you think - Grand Suite at Dolphin or Basic Room at YC?

I'd take the Dolphin hands down. You'll love the space, the heavenly beds, and the pool is great too- maybe not up to Storm-along bay but for what you are getting, this sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity. The Swan and Dolphin is a great choice.

Stay longer or stay w/better accommodations?

I totally agree. At the least you could probably get a good compromise - say 12 days - but you'd have a deluxe resort at the price of the moderate with a great location.

Fact Finding Mission: Seeking Info. on Epcot Resorts

We love the whole area, but don't discount staying at the Swan or Dolphin. The rates are considerably better than the Disney Deluxe resorts. The location is great between Epcot and the DHS, plus you get Starwood (owners of Swan and Dolphin) guest services which equals or beats Disney - and...

    Just my luck!!

Yes, you should try the Mandara Spa at the Dolphin. You can take Disney Transportation to the Swan and Dolphin from any park. Here's the link to the Spa http://www.swandolphin.com/activities/spa.html
