    Breaks during Christmas week

We will be at WDW 12/24-12/31. In the past, we have taken breaks and headed back to our resort for a little R&R. However, with the large crowds that are usually expected that week, is that a possibility?! We don't want to be unable to return back to the park if it reaches capacity. Any thoughts...

    ***Official December 2023 Thread***

Hi all! Thought I'd jump over here now that planning is getting real. We will be on the Fantasy from Dec. 16-23 and then WDW Dec. 23-31 at Pop- Sports. Where are others seeing the hours for the parks? I'm only seeing them thru Dec. 13th on WDW website but need to figure out hours and EMH so I...

Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

I wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions, tips, and ideas for all the magic bands! Thanks to you guys, I was able to create some fun bands for my family. We just got back and most of them held up well. My 5 year old son's bands smeared here and there but overall, they held up.

Disneyland for the day...Is it worth it?

Definitely worth it. I've been to DL many, many times and the first time we spent more than one day was two years ago! Figure out what rides are the preferred one and hit those up. And enjoy!!

Homemade FE gifts - Part 2

Sorry it took me a few days to answer you. Too busy with Christmas to get online for a while :santa: The ornaments are glitter cardstock on a wooden circle. Rather easy and nice and sparkly

Homemade FE gifts - Part 2

I have enjoyed following this thread over the last year as I prepared for our trip. You are all so talented and I've loved seeing all of your gifts! Now it is finally time for me share what I did for our cruise. I made a Christmas ornament for the adults and a game for the kids. I included...

Elf on the shelf at WDW

Bumping this for more ideas since that season is upon us! :santa: We leave Saturday for WDW and then the next week on the Fantasy! I will take pictures of what we decided to do and share any extra good ones when we come back. We got ours last year when DD was barely 4. I think 3 would have...

***Cruise Magnet Graphics and Links Part 7!***

I haven't made a request before-how long does it usually take? I haven't planned this much in advance since we leave Dec. 1st. Is that enough time to get a couple of magnet designs made? ETA: I'll go ahead and put my request on here in case there is time to get it done before I leave. I would...

    Should we bring one?

My DD was 3 when we went to DL two years ago and she fell asleep towards the end of the night. It would have been no fun carrying her, especially while the adults were still trying to go on rides. Plus, there is no way she would have walked around the park all day without a stroller! We are...

Official Breast Feeding Support Thread for WDW Parks

Heading to WDW in one month and will be breastfeeding my nearly 11 month old at the time. I'm much more relaxed this time around since he's kid #2. We went to DL when DD5 was 4 months old and I constantly walked back to the baby care center to feed her. I'm so much more comfortable feeding DS in...

    Why don't the characters talk?

Glad you asked this! I've wondered what to tell my DD5 on our trip in Dec. I'm guessing that she'll ask. I'll try the saving their voice suggestion :thumbsup2

It's NEVER Too Late, for Number 8 - the most UNOFFICIAL, 'official' AKL thread yet!

Odd question for you all. We will be staying at Jambo in just over a month and we're working on our order for garden grocer. We are staying in a 2 bedroom with a full kitchen. Do we need to make sure we have dish soap and dishwasher soap, or will that be included with the kitchen? Thanks!

Big stroller rental changes on the horizon??

So what companies have an agreement with Disney? I have a stroller reserved from Babies R Us to drop off at our resort, but looks like that'll have to change since we don't fly in until well after their drop off times.

Flying southwest, strollers, babies...lots of ??

I'd love to hear other's experiences with boarding. I'm debating if I should spend the extra money to check in early. I REALLY don't want to. I need that money, but I have a 5 year old that will need to sit by her dad at least. Is it $10 per flight per seat, or just per day? We have a total...

    Best "back stage" tour?

My parents did the Keys to the Kingdom tour and really enjoyed it! If we didn't have little kids with us, I'd definitely want to do it! They learned a lot and saw a lot of behind the scenes stuff.

How Did You Create Your DIS Name?

These were fun to read through! I love hearing the stories behind the names! For mine, I lived in France for a year when I was in HS and wanted my name to be Disney related, so bonjourmickey it was! Can't wait to say "Bonjour Mickey!" in person in a few months! :cool1: My mom lurks on here...
