Our VIP day with a "Plaid"

Thank You MommyJKM for the great TR. We are going on the VIP tour Christmas week--also thru the generosity of a C33 member--and was looking for the experiences of others to see what we had to look forward to. Is there anything you would do differently for the holidays? Thanks!

    Anna & Elsa

Just to update my post above, A&E began receiving guests at 8:10-8:15 (during EMH) on Friday. We were done before 9:30. DH did a brisk speed walk but did not run at rope drop. By the time the girls and I made it to FL, the wait was over 3 hours long. The girls and I rode all the FL rides except...

    Wildfire Smoke?

I definitely felt the smoke this morning. Right now it seems better, but my throat is still sore from it.

    Anna & Elsa

DH is in line for E and A right now. To day they started greeting guests at 15 minutes after EMH started. Even so, it's 9:00 and the line is 3 hours at the end. We've got about 20 more minutes.

3 day pass, Monorail, early entry

We have the SoCal 3 day passes. I know we have to get how pics taken. How does that work? Where do we have to go? Will we be able to do it before early entry? (Staying at DLH). Can you use the monorail for early entry? Has anyone tried entering with the Monorail and going straight to Frozen M&G? TIA

    DLH refrigerator

Thanks! I forgot to ask--but you answered it anyway--that the fridges are empty and not mini bars. I stayed at the GC once and cleared out the fridge to store my diet Cokes (pre Motherhood) before I saw the sticker that it was electronically monitored and everything removed was added to your...

    DLH refrigerator

How big are the fridges in the DLH rooms? Can it hold a quart/half gallon of milk and an apple juice bottle? Is there a little freezer section to freeze water bottles? Thx

DL christmas ornaments and personalized souvenirs

You may not have missed them, sometimes they just run out. We were there last year at this time of year and there was not an ornament to be found. A CM walked me from the China shop on Main Street to another shop on Main Street and the CM there said there was not a single ornament on the...

We were on the top deck, right down the middle. It was great, even with two little ones. [/IMG]

    Digi Scrap with an iPad?

I have a related question. Does anyone know of a good app for viewing scrapbook pages that looks like a scrapbook? I have an Album in Photos for my scrapbook pages, but I would prefer it to look like the pages are turning when I swipe them. Any leads?

UPDATE: Sony Alpha-philes! Help me pick a lens

I can't believe this actually worked! The replacement battery for the Maxxum arrived yesterday. When I put the Promaster back on it, it was sticking there too. I put it in MF and was able to wiggle it a little, and then a little more. After awhile, it just opened up. I put it back on the A65 and...

UPDATE: Sony Alpha-philes! Help me pick a lens

Thank you Zackiedawg! That is EXACTLY the kind of feedback I was looking for! My Maxxum was on the shelf so long that the battery is dead, so I think I will grab a battery for it first and see how the Promaster works on it (not to mention that there seems to be a film canister still sitting in...

UPDATE: Sony Alpha-philes! Help me pick a lens

I first got into photography in high school in the late 70s when I got a Minolta SRT-201 camera (manual focus/manual exposure) for junior high graduation. I took a few classes, added a 27mm and 100-200mm zoom to the 50 mm that came with the camera, and got to the point where I was taking pretty...

Digital Scrapping Newbie - Basic Questions

I also started doing traditional scrapbooking, but switched to digital scrapbooking for the most part after my twins were born. Digital makes it easier to print multiple copies of each page for their individual baby books and an extra copy for grandma. I have been using Photoshop Elements to...

    Notarized Letter...HELP!?!?

Hi! I posted on the other thread about notarized letters. Technically, you need one whenever you take your children out of the country without the other parent to prevent child abductions. Apparently, Disney and some air carriers are not requiring such letters, but I always take one when I leave...

    Double Stroller help

We have twins and have a HUGE double stroller that I refuse to take on the cruise, although I do take it to Europe every summer. We have an item similar to this (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3943876) that will connect two umbrella strollers that we will bring along. That...

    notarized letter for single parents

There is a book on traveling with small children that says you need the letter whenever you leave the counrty without the other parent to prevent parental abductions. We had the letter the first time we all traveled to Europe together, but DH came home early just to be on the safe side. When DH...

    Prime Time Shuttle in LA?

http://www.primetimeshuttle.com/ We used them all the time when we go to LAX. We usually use the shared van service when we go to the airport and private sedan to get picked up. Of course that was before the kids and car seats:scared1:
