I agree with you 100%, in fact, I enjoy Disneyland more so than WDW by just a hair, but end up @ WDW much more often than DL. Main reason being if you dont stay on property,(which is much more expensive than WDW) much of the magic I feel is "stopped at the gate". With "less than magical Anaheim...

We decided to just do the World this year and save DL for next spring

It's WDW that's currently offering the 25% resort discount through 8/14. No DLR discounts as of yet for after 6/9...trust me im waiting and watching like a hawk:)

The week closer to Halloween will be more busy but not to the point where i would change my dates. I would choose the week that fit better for you and not really worry to deeply about the crowds, especially with what seems by your dates to be a good length of stay..Just my opinion though:)

More of the same....During a given week that time of year you can have a couple 80 degree days a couple 70's a 60 and even upper 50's, truly hit or miss...id bet at least one day would be warm enough for a dip..

I would go with 4 and decide when you get there if you're up to going into the parks upon arrival or if you would rather save if for early Saturday morning, leave your options open:)

If you dont mind driving my favorite off site hotel is the Hilton. Very nice and clean!

I'm a WDW vet as well and I can tell you DLR is definately worth it! It's a whole different experience but so similar in "feel" at the same time. DL park itself is much more intimate than the MK in my opinion with many more attractions. With DCA's renovation nearing completion it only makes it...

Between the two CCI hands down, not a big fan of the FFI. Being used to WDW, it will still seem very close to the main gate. I must say though, if it is a once in a lifetime DL trip I would look out for PPH discounts. If your able to go in early June or late August you can usually get at least...

I always take $80 out of the ATM @ DLH in the mornings and budget it that way, eating mainly counter service, never have had a problem staying under that.
