    100 Loop maximum tent size

I think it is 16'x16'. It is a 16 person lodge tent. This looks to be it (or very similar). http://www.sears.com/northwest-territory-mountain-lodge-16-person-tent-16%27x16%27/p-00648257000P I'm concerned that this is just too big, but I've never tried to use a tent at the Fort.

    100 Loop maximum tent size

I have stayed in the 100 loop many times, but never pitched a tent. We will be staying at the Fort in April, and some of our friends will be joining us. They will be bringing a tent. Their tent is quite large. I am a little worried that it is too large. I can find info for the 1500/2000...

    Biking as Transportation

We have ridden our bikes to bothe the marina and the outpost and left them there. At times we have locked them up and at other times we just left them unsecured. Never had anyone mess with them.

    bikes + pup???

I have a suburban and a popup. I have a front hitch and carry three or four bikes on it. I have at times had three bikes on front and double towed the camper and a 13' fishing boat. That gets some double takes.

    bikes + pup???

    1. Front mounted hitch on the towing vehicle. I do this with my suburban. Works great using a standard bike rack. 2. Roof rack on the camper or towing vehicle. 3. Rack that mounts to a trailer drawbar and allows both the rack and the trailer at the same time. 4. Hitch on the rear of the...

First time *Tent* Camping at FW - Need advice!

I have stayed at the fort several times. Never in a tent though. I have never heard any generators running. I don't expect to either, as all sites have plenty of electrical power available. I know someone that has tent camped at the fort. From what I understand (hearsay, I admit), the tent loops...

    Ticket upgrade went well

I had not originally planned to go into any park on our arrival day. However, I also didn't want to take up time on another day running around to get the upgrade. I really did not know what was going to happen or if we'd get the upgrade at all. I did not want to go into the park if I could not...

    Ticket upgrade went well

The tickets were a part of a package through Disney. The package was booked in Oct 2011 I think. After all the horror stories I had read, I was a little nervous about the upgrade. However I did not have any trouble.

    Ticket upgrade went well

We checked into the Fort on 12-23. We had a package with 5 day PH. We went to MK that evening with the intention of upgrading to AP. The tickets were purchased prior to the price increase last year. It has been said here that after the tickets are used they will have value equal to the current...

Mistake you will not repeat next time...

We were in the MK on Christmas day. We were waiting for the electrical parade on the curb in front of Casey's. After the parade, but before Wishes, our group decided to move over to the smoking section by the plaza. This is a narrow pathway to Tomorrowland. The crowd was shoulder to shoulder. At...

Anyone use a toddler bed rail for their camper bunks?

Ok. Rented camper=no screws. I see. What if you got a piece of plywood to put under the mattress, on top of the existing wood. Then screw the rail to that, if it won't stay in its own.

Anyone use a toddler bed rail for their camper bunks?

It should work, I'd think. I have seen pictures were someone cut a piece of plywood to the shape of a rail and then attached it to the wood under the mattress with a couple of hinges. That way the rail can be raised up when needed and fold down under the mattress when not. If the mattress is...

    Howling Dog-Site Recommendations? HELP!

I think that most of the negative response is due to the over the top bragging. I mean, read the post about the seven camp sites for two weeks. That's about $10,000. Who would do that. Then the $100 gift cards to quiet the complaints? And all the perks that you can supposedly buy? It seems a...

Digital TV only as of today at the Fort

I think what you would need is a QAM tuner. A google search shows them to be about $100.

anyone have experience making balloons inside balloons like they have in the park

Are you saying that after popping the outer balloon, the inner would not float by itself? With talk of a helium shortage, that is probably a good way to conserve/keep their cost down.

    Tent camping...what do I request??

So, you need a good partial site. Unfortunately I can not help there. I did find something that might help you. Go to YouTube. In the search box put "DFW LOOP". There are videos of most loops. You might be able to see a site you like.
