Thanks! I can't wait for this trip. We leave on our Disney Cruise on Friday then Tuesday we will be heading to Universal for a week. DD is tired of WDW (Except for EPCOT Japan) so we are changing it up a bit this year. Hope we won't be disappointed. :yay:

    New Years Eve Ideas/suggestions

We will be there as well, and it will also be our first time at Universal. We usually go to WDW but wanted to change it up this year. One thing I do love about WDW is there is a STRONG group of folks who LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney and are ready to give suggestions, input, ect. I'm thinking we...

    booking through DCL vs. Costco?

Can I assume you did NOT take the 10% offer from DCL and book onboard? I'm trying to see if getting both is an option. If not I'd rather get the 10% Disney gives me by booking onboard.

    booking through DCL vs. Costco?

If you are not a first time cruiser is using Costco still worth it? I'm going on my 3rd cruise in just under 2 weeks and I'm going to put a deposit down for an Alaska cruise. I get 10% off with Disney but a nice cash card with Costco but I CANNOT use a prebooked cruise. I think in this case...

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! We are doing the exact same ones... We are doing the Tour on Wednesday and the WOC on Friday, I'm sort of glad you have to prepay. No worries about additional expense on there. So you also get a fastpass, is it to a specific ride or any ride? We are staying at the GCH...

3 night Merrytime Cruise on the Dream - Nov 2017

I wonder if it was timing and yes the length as well. I've ONLY gone on Merrytime cruises but all the week/day of Christmas and everyone wore their Christmas attire all week long. So I'm guessing it's due to the earlier cruise and it being so short. We are doing our first short cruise next...

    Grand Californian Super Thread

Wow that is every interesting. Never would have thought. I first stayed at GCH when my daughter was in a stroller for the 50th Golden celebration. She's now 15. Has been my home hotel ever since. Too hard to change I guess.

Yay! Thanks so much for sharing the photos!!! I can't wait. We live in the No. California area and have been to WDW many times during the Holidays. But strangely this will be our first time at Disneyland to see the Christmas decorations. Went to the Halloween party last year by pure luck...

    Grand Californian Super Thread

Really? The distance to the park is about the same? Doesn't GCH have DIRECT access to CA park, and I'm talking about walking from both locations... not once you get there? You are saying that is the same as the Best Western Inn.... wow! OK

    Grand Californian Super Thread

I'm confused, why have a security check point at the front door if you can still get in through the side door with no security? Or did I miss something? I've tried to read everything but I could have missed something. I'll be arriving at GCH on the 22nd. Can't wait. 4th time at the Grand...

How Do You Book Your Cruise?

I went through a TA once but when I want to add things or change my stateroom last min because the one I've been eyeing became available. Well I want to nab it then. My TA may not be available late Sunday evening. I just didn't have the flexibility I'd have doing it myself.
