    Best amusement parks in PA?

I vote Knoebels, too. The rides they have-- you just don't see them anywhere else, like Flying Aces, their haunted house, the Black Diamond, the trains. My kids are 6 and 9 and ADORE that place; plus they have lots of rides for the young kiddies, too.

Can your children write in cursive?

Yes my DD9 can. She was taught in school. Me, trying to help her get the letters right? I was lost. I haven't done a cursive S in forever. And I'm not sure when they changed the cursive Q from looking like a 2 to more like a print Q, but that happened.

Trader Sam's & Poly Beach for Wishes

When I was on the Trader Sam's patio at 10 PM watching Wishes, there were a bunch of kids hanging out playing ring around the rosie while their parents drank next to them. No one said anything. So I guess if you want to bring your kids, you could bring them along to the patio.

Did I just make a mistake? Switched from WL to Poly

I was one who said on the other thread that I stayed at the Poly last week and it was so crowded and dirty at the pool. Had I known that it would be that way, I would've switched to WL in a heartbeat (my favorite resort). However, it's August, so the pool was probably as busy as it ever gets. In...

Trader Sam's & Poly Beach for Wishes

You can't view wishes from inside Trader Sam's because the bar itself has no windows. However, there is a big patio outside Trader Sam's which is an extension of it, where you can order anything off the Trader Sam's menu and they have live entertainment, so I actually liked it better than the...

If you could choose...Coral Reef or Garden Grill

Well, because I'm one for trying new experiences and just had a lovely meal at Coral Reef (the Rainbow Trout!) last week, I'll ask you this: are you on the dining plan? If yes, Garden Grill. If no, Coral Reef.

Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

I just got back from staying at the Poly, and I think it officially cured us of our desire to go to Disney every year. It was pretty much completely devoid of pixie dust. First off, the parks were super-crowded! We've gone this week for the past 4 years and this is the first time it was like...

Are Deluxe and Moderates really worth it?

For me, yes. It might be different if it was my first stay and I was planning to be out of my hotel room a lot and at the parks. But because we go each year and have seen it all, we spend a LOT of time at the resort, watching the movies on the beach, at the pool, eating at the various...

Best Deluxe resorts for 6 and 7 year old?

Well, just so you know, my DD6 favorite resort is the GF :) But we also LOVE WL. It's the favorite of the rest of us. I think boys would like it even more. The WCC is a great place to eat, the lobby is amazing, the boat ride to the MK is the BEST, and my kids always do the hidden Mickey...

    My Experience at the Polynesian

Once there was a broken pipe outside our room. We sloshed around for two days, and WDW management blamed us for leaving the water on and put a fan in the room. When they realized it was their fault, they comped us one night and moved our room. Once my daughter tripped on a broken part of the...

Do you have a low-stress job? What do you do?

I was told I could listen to my radio at a reasonable volume, while I'm collating, from 9 to 11.

Does the Dining Plan save you money in the long run?

I used to be solidly into the dining plan, just for the convenience of it, until we went one year and my daughter contracted a stomach virus. Had we not been on the plan, the silver lining would've been all the money we saved on food (because we had to cancel numerous reservations and sometimes...

Best Character Meet And Greet Memories and Experiences?

I love how in-character they can be. A couple experiences we had that were fun: My youngest was 3 at the time and she couldn't go on the rides she wanted to because she was too short, so I ended up taking her to all the characters. When she saw the evil stepsisters and Lady Tremaine, she pulled...

Do you have a low-stress job? What do you do?

Yes. I am not really sure what I do. I sit behind a desk. I cruise the web, mostly. I also make very little money and haven't gotten a raise in 5 years. Probably because no one knows what I do. I keep waiting for them to just stop paying me and take away my stapler.

New car advice- Jeep GC or Rubicon

We are Jeep lovers, too. We've had a Wrangler, a Cherokee, and now we have a Patriot and a JGC. Love, love, love my JGC. It's the first SUV I've had where I feel like it's my baby and I feel bad whenever I have to drive anything else. It's so very intuitive to me, almost like my partner rather...

Route 81/77 instead of 95 was definitely the way to go!

Try to time your route so you're hitting them at less busy times. I can't speak about Atlanta but I found that rush hour in Charlotte is nowhere near as bad as the traffic we experienced coming out of DC. That might have been because of construction, but it was terrible. We just sat and sat. At...

San Angel Inn or Chefs de France

I've eaten at both but had the best meals at San Angel Inn. I like the atmosphere, better, too. I've never felt like Chefs de France was anything special-- if Remy isn't there it's just like a French restaurant anywhere, but eating at the San Angel Inn, at the foot of the Mayan ruins, with a...

Route 81/77 instead of 95 was definitely the way to go!

Well, you'll put wear and tear on your brakes stopping for traffic all the time on 95. ;) We were hesitant the first time we drove down on 81/77 so we quick switched to 95 and ended up in so much traffic. The past two times, we've driven down and back on 81/77 and it's been great. Yes there are...

Movie quotes that are part of your daily vocabulary

My husband's entire repertoire for the day involves movie quotes: Whenever something is really important: "It's important Marion. Trust me." Whenever something is not really all that great: "It's Boootiful!!" (Raiders of the Lost Ark) Whenever I'm wearing something new: "What are you supposed...
