Lucnh at LTT is plated, dinner is family style. We have done it but not since 2010. We enjoyed it.
Mine would be:
AK: Yak & Yeti
DHS: Sci-Fi Diner
Epcot: Les Chefs de France
MK: Crystal Palace
Best TS: Raglan Road
Best QS: Wolfgang Puck's Express
Best Snack: Oh so so many
Worst TS: Mama Melrose (but we won't rush back to Tony's or The Wave)
Worst QS: Struggling here because we've never had a bad QS experience!!
Worst Snack: Brownie from Karamel Kuche, I LOVE Karamel Kuche but I...
Just to say we have done the DDP on 3 trips, all over 21 days and we have never had a server clear our plates before we were all finished or had them bring out the next course before we were done with the previous.
We usually wouldn't pass on dessert but we find some locations limited in options, couple that with usually large portions and decreased appetite through the heat and we don't really go for it either. We've had some success with fruit bags being subbed, we will definitely make more of a point of...
We went to Chef Mickey's in 1997 as our first ever character meal so my parents have always had a soft spot for it, however after entirely average visits in 2007 and 2010 I finally talked them out of a visit in 2012. There's absolutely nothing special and I actually dislike the dining areas.
We usually have fruit and cereal in the room for breakfast as none of us are fussed on the breakfast offerings. In fact I may just suggest a trip to McDonald's...
We went in July 2012. The restaurant was empty, but we were there fairly early. I think our reservation was 5:30pm but we probably turned up at 5 because we're THAT family!
Pictures aren't the best but me and my sister both got the Kung Pao Chicken:
My mum (who is not a fan of chinese) had...
MK- Columbia Harbour House (but BOG is a must try for us!)
Epcot- So many great choices here, head to Sunshine Seasons for an extended menu, although we enjoy Lotus Blossom Cafe and La Cantina de San Angel (we appear to be a minority!)
AK- Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe (Flame Tree BBQ is great...
::yes::
We got all of those as snacks on the DDP in July/August 2012, I don't think from what I've seen/heard that any have been removed :)
We're heading back in August and I'm really excited to try:
A jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzel
Le Fou's Brew (from Gaston's Tavern, available as a...
You most definitely want to stop at Karamel Kuche:
And of course there's the funnel cake (Sleepy Hollow, MK)
If you're into something more savoury, there's always an egg roll:
And it's very important to re-hydrate (ok we go in August and for us, slushies are treats...)
MK- Columbia Harbour House
AK- Flame Tree Barbeque and Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe
Epcot- Sunshine Seasons and La Cantina
DHS- We really must make the rounds here again in August but we tend to stick to Backlot Express or go to a resort.
I have lots of photos lying around unappreciated on Facebook from 2012!
We were on the regular DDP. I aim to have more photos this August, but we'll be on the QSDP (21 days of QS- can it be done?!?! ;) )
Anyways first up Flame Tree BBQ
Ribs & Chicken Combo with beans and slaw. My mother...
AK- Yak & Yeti. We've eaten here twice, I really love asian food and for me this beats out Nine Dragons hands down. It's a really beautiful restaurant and it's theming blends in nicely with the park! The Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe offers asian dishes but as a QS, it has very unique QS food...
We hardly ever do breakfast on the DP. For our past 3 visits we've been on the regular DP and we've probably done 3-4 TS breakfasts per trip (all of which were 21 nights) and 1-2 QS breakfasts if any. This year we will be on the QS plan and I don't envisage us eating breakfast much, if it all...
Children's QS credits are generally an entree, 2 sides and a drink.
Some places will swap sides for fries or cookies and some will swap the milk/juice/water for a soda.
We've always found we're too full for our QS desserts- we've tried giving them away before but people do react oddly to a...
We always start in Mexico. I think we might have some OCD about it. I couldn't possibly fathom going around the world counter-clockwise...:goodvibes
Resorts: Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Art of Animation.
Restaurants: Whispering Canyon Cafe, Yak & Yeti and Raglan Road.
Rides: Tower of Terror, Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids.
Favourites: Mid-afternoon pool breaks, free dining (snacks, snacks and more snacks) and the...
Well living in Britain, 3 weeks in Florida in August is our only way of getting guaranteed summer :D
The first year we went in summer was 2005, where a lot of record highs were set. That was scorchingly hot even in the shade. In 2007 we arrived partway into a 14 day dry spell which ended in a...
