    1st Alaska Cruise of 2022! Our Honeymoon Cruise 5/16/22 - 5/23/22 (Updated 7/14/22)

Thank you for sharing your experiences! I did have a quick question- how was the post-cruise Covid testing? We are supposed to fly home to the USA at 1:00 PM on the day we arrive back in port; was curious how organized and efficient the post-cruise testing was. We are thinking of changing our...

    Delayed at Castaway Cay

Sorry for the delayed update; I couldn't find my post on the boards! We were able to get off the ship at 11:30 and it was a beautiful day! For the rest of the cruise, we were able to disembark at Cozumel and had really nice sea days. Overall, the cruise was a wonderful return after a 2 year...

    Delayed at Castaway Cay

Currently on the Magic. So far they are not letting us off at Castaway Cay. No info this far, but must be Covid related. Very few updates from Darren, our cruise director. Still, happy to be onboard!

Tracking Cruising Restart: News and Updates

It will also be interesting to see if DeSantis means for his executive order to apply to the cruise industry. Most cruise lines are banking on requiring adults to be fully vaccinated. If DeSantis tries to extend the order to apply to the cruise industry, then re-opening cruises in Florida could...

Tracking Cruising Restart: News and Updates

Expanding on this, states who host cruise ships need to reach an agreement with cruise lines that they will allow ships to dock in the event of an outbreak. It won't just be up to the cruise industry; cities with cruise ports (both national and international) must have plans in place that allow...

    Early February Crowds?

Thanks so much for all of the quick responses! This helps us do a little planning (although this trip is mostly to enjoy Kidani! :)

    Early February Crowds?

Hi everyone, We are planning a long weekend at Kidani village the first week in February and noticed that touringplans.com has estimated crowd levels that weekend to be a 9. I didn't see anything special happening that weekend (Feb. 5-7), other than Superbowl Sunday. I was wondering if anyone...

Kayaking on Castaway with an Odd Number?

Hi everyone, We are interested in booking the kayak and nature tour on CC for our upcoming cruise (7 more days!). However, we have 3 people in our group and the tour info says all kayaks are doubles. Can a single person pilot one of those kayaks, or is this tour only for even numbers? Thanks...

    Eastern or Western Caribbean?

Although we enjoy the Eastern ports more, overall we prefer Western because the extra port day allows us an additional opportunity to enjoy an empty ship. I love sea days, however the ship can be crowded. Port days are a perfect time to enjoy a quieter ship!:)

    December in South Africa?

Thanks so much for the info! Based on the feedback, and on some research I've done, I think we are going to aim for going in August and, if the dates don't work, will select another destination rather than visit South Africa in December. It sounds like with crowds and weather, December isn't...

    December in South Africa?

Hi everyone, We are planning on our first ABD experience and have chosen South Africa for our destination. I am considering two times: August or December. Honestly, December works much better for my schedule, but I was wondering if anyone has experience travelling to South Africa during that...

    New Remy Dessert Experience

We were able to book it for both our upcoming May cruises via phone. It's showing up strangely on the website (when you try to add adult dining, it's showing up as a star icon and says "price pending") but we had no trouble getting DCL to add it for us when we called. It's only on Thursdays...

    Just Booked Remy Dessert Experience!

The dessert experience is "kind of" showing up online for our upcoming cruises- it appears as a star icon and says "price pending" but I could not book it online. I called DCL and they were able to book it for me over the phone- it's now appearing on our activity list!!

Should i try out bonine before the cruise to see side effects?

Absolutely! It's best to try out a medication such as that in case you find it ineffective or the side effects too much to handle. For me, bonine (even though advertised as non-drowsy) knocks me out. I can't take it and enjoy my cruises. Although I don't get seasick on cruise ships, I do on...

    Fantasy Oceanview,only Aft or Fwd?

We always choose forward, as we don't travel with children and the adult areas are located forward. You may prefer aft, then, if you are travelling with children. I would take a look at the deck plans and decide which ammenities you want to be near. Mid-ship is traditionally suggested if you...

"Witty Trip Report Title" 2 --Bigger, Longer, Uncut

Just found your trip report. As I was reading through it, I realized that you were in the same room we were for our first Fantasy cruise, and it's the same room we have for our B2B Fantasy cruise this May! Thanks for sharing a wonderful report!!

    Radisson Resort at the Port?

We have stayed at the Radisson before our last three Disney cruises, and have always been pleased. We found the rooms and beds comfortable, though like a previous poster, we didn't care for the breakfast at all. I would recommend walking next door to Zachary's for breakfast. The pool area is a...
