Southwest do we need early bird

If you decide against it, be on the website EXACTLY 24 hours before your flight starts and check-in. You will probably salvage a late A or more likely an early B flight. This should still allow you guys to all sit together in the back of the plane. However, it all depends on how full the...

Car lovers- TRAGEDY AT EPCOT- RIP Test Track

Sadly you aren't the first to express similar opinions. Changing rides is never popular. The thing that gets me is that everyone complains that the car they design never shows up in the ride. It seems that is the part Disney needs to fix.

    is touringplans.com worth the $$

It's 12 bucks. Disney costs thousands. If it saves you a few hours and allows you to make the right park choice on a daily basis, it's worth it.

Just back. Quick tip, for those going soon.

Those times you posted are awful! Don't worry if you forgot to go to Customer Relations. I'm sure a number of other guests didn't forget. :)

    wristband fast pass vs. traditional

At this point, most Disney experts seem to think that the old system is going away sooner rather than later. That being said, Disney can't afford to scrap a system that works until the new one works perfectly. If you have a trip planned for later this year, just wait until trip reports start...

How does the marathons affect the parks?

Google each race to see where they end up. It will affect crowds a little. Also, if you are planning on going early, be careful, as they will close down roads and things will be very hectic and crazy. Leave 30 minutes earlier than normal if you are trying to get there earlier. We went a...

Disneyworld needs updated to better attract tweens and teens

Why? Tweens don't have much money. Tweens would prefer to go somewhere that only focuses on rides. Disney wants families to come, stay on resorts, eat at restaurants and buy big vacation packages. There is a certain segment of teenagers that are going to rebel against anything that even...

Anyone else "train" for the parks?

Training is a necessity, if you don't want to feel sore and awful the whole time!

Animal Kingdom - Most Underrated Park at Disney

The AK is my spouse's favorite! It really is a fun place, and the cool thing is that there is a lot of space to continue to expand. I wish it was open later than it is...but other than that it's awesome!

    is there a deal coming?

Traditionally, free dining is offered in Sept/Oct. I'm sure that will continue to be the case this year.

    Monsters Inc Roller Coaster

I sure hope so! Hollywood Studios really needs another attraction or two.

    MyMagic+ and headliners

I can't possibly see this being true. My opinion is that they are going to hold back some FP's for the "day of". Possibly the 3 FP's that you can pre-book will only allow one headliner, just so that the headliners won't be sold out.

    Monster's Inc Laugh Floor

If you don't want to be part of the show, I'd suggest getting into the show late and sitting at the end of the rows or towards the back. Also, it might be smart to put your elbows on your knees and lean over a little so that the cameras don't quite see you.

Do any Disney long-timers think things are better?

I think a few factors are at play: 1. Nostalgia always wins. Things were awesome when we first did them. Going back year after year kind of wears thin on many. It's natural that as you do something time after time, the magic slowly gets lost. 2. Yes, new technology is changing things...

12 hour drive for one day... Crazy?!

Even if you take your child out of the equation, that will be an EXHAUSTING weekend. 24 hours of driving, and one full day in the park. I'm not saying you shouldn't! I'm just saying you need to think about it. The Magic Kingdom can lose it's magic when everyone is tired and grumpy...

    Splash Mountain Closed

I wouldn't count on it. Don't get your kids excited for it then if it happens, it will be an unexpected bonus. It is my daughter's favorite ride and I can't even schedule a trip to Disney if it's closed. She would be devastated!

What's the longest you've waited for an attraction?

For us, the longest lines are character meet and greets. I won't ride an attraction with more than a 30 minute wait. With the old system there really was no reason to. Hopefully the new system will be the same way. But the meet and greets are important to my kids, so I grit my teeth and...
