    Are prices trending down?

We priced out renting dvc points vs just booking direct. The cost difference between the two was about $300. Booking direct made it easier for us to do a split stay at two hotels we wanted to try as well as not have to worry if we needed to cancel or change dates.

negative change with Express Pass lines

We were here the last few days and express pass was frustrating. We had several where the express pass wait was 5 minutes less than the posted wait (grignotts, castle, Hippogryph, spider man were the worst offenders). Express pass used to be awesome in 2019. And don’t even get me started on the...

Never thought I'd be debating drive vs fly

So I plan on taking everyone's advice for our NEXT trip. For this one, even though we have the time, we are going to fly. We are going to drive to a smaller, closer to disney airport (where airfare was half the cost) and the flight is 35 minutes shorter and the nervous flyer is going to discuss...

My kids are 3 and 7 almost 4 and 8. 🙃 and we'd have my in-laws as well.

Never thought I'd be debating drive vs fly

So we leave in 18 days. We have refundable airline tickets for all 6. Between flights, car transfers, hotel the night before at the airport (cheaper than paying for parking to have a hotel with 10 days of parking the night before go figure) we are looking at about 3400 round trip. We live an...

    DAS and Rise Strategy Question

With Rise just grab a return time at park opening and then ride the smaller rides and explore Galaxy's Edge or ride smugglers run if the wait is still low.

Destash 2023 Use it or lose it

I have 7 donate boxes ready for pick up on Tuesday, 4 boxes of books ready to go to the used book store for credit (to buy more books lol) and I paired my christmas boxes from 12 down to 6 by purging anything that I haven't put out in the past 3 years. We finished our basement and only gave...

Have your kids (in school) gotten covid yet?

We all got it in Disney. Honestly, would have had no idea had the rest of us not gotten sick because the 7 year old had 0 symptoms. We only tested her and her sister because literally every single one of the rest of us were sick. So far she hasn't contracted it in school that we know of, but we...

    Southwest Fans... are you reconsidering

As others have said, SW has removed almost all non stops out of philly to MCO and I will only do non stops for short flights. I spent down the last of the points and am retiring my SW credit card for a different travel card. I loved SW and flew with them exclusively for 10+ years but the routes...

Mom,Dad, two kids with one too short and Genie+

6 year old rides twice. Bonus for being the older kid. They'll help you get all the right bands scanned for it to work when you say you are doing child swap

    How old was your child?

Our first we went when she was 2.5 but had gone many other places before. She is a well seasoned traveler at 7. Our youngest first trip was 9 months, then again right after she turned 3 and going again right before she turns 4 :)

DAS pass - more than 6, anyone had luck?

We usually end up with 4 adults/3 kids and have been allowed to do all 7 at once. It is always our family members and usually our family of 4 and plus a family of 3. We usually are all linked, all staying at the same resort, all staying for the same days and I usually make all the reservations...

    Just had my fourth jab

I got my 4th, but I also lost my first covid card. So they gave me a new one with this one written on it. Problem solved. It had been a year since my last one and once again did flu and covid at the same time. life regrets incoming.

Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

We are currently booked in a preferred pool room and we are traveling with someone who booked preferred. Is there any chance if we put each other as traveling with parties that we will end up in the same building or is that impossible with those two room types? Also, has anyone had a double...

Upsetting experience at baby care center

At 13mo and 3 years both your children are capable of eating the food offered in the parks or leaving the parks and grabbing food outside the park. We've used the baby centers for an 8 month old to warm formula and for a 1 year old to warm milk. Otherwise, even with our food allergies, disney...

Changing mind for a ride DAS

You don't use das if she isn't going to ride. Full stop. Buy genie +, buy ILL but if she's not riding you can't and don't use it. You can get a das for a ride they want to ride, while the rest of the party waits in the regular line for the ride they want to ride. We use das for our oldest which...

    BBB for 2yo

They will not bend this rule ever. We actually planned to skip it altogether when our kids were 5 and 2. Then disney shut down and we didn't go until the youngest was 3. BBB was closed anyway. We did princess makeovers in the room with them (I did their hair, dresses, glitter, the works) they...
