Wish I had this sooner. Sharon and I just booked a cruise in 2015. It's a Mississippi River Boat cruise tandem bike tour. The bike people have the whole boat and it's all about bike riding. Sound be fun, but not as nice as NCL out of Miami. You don't have to ride bikes all day for your food.

I run on the deck and DW runs on the dreadmill. I've done runs of 20+ miles on deck. The key is to start early, really early to get the miles in. DW loves the dreadmill for the movies. Either way, there are options to getting in plenty of miles to off set desert.

I've done the CC5k several times and it really does not take away from cruise time. It is the first thing off the ship on CC morning. I'll just meet my family after the 5K on the beach. No time lost.

We will be in Hampton VA on 5/11-5/13. Lisa competes on 5/12. I guess it is not all the close to DC. It is near Langle AFB where Matt is putting is up. He will be on this trip with us.
