    Biking on CC

We've biked on CC and enjoyed it. Went early and it wasn't busy. Did a second loop as we WERE having a good time. Just watch out for the pedestrians on the path - especially the little ones NOT being watched by (well, running way ahead of) their parents/guardians. We had two little kids run in...

    Let's talk dolphins- Nassau

We have done both - Atlantis and Blue Lagoon. I would easily do Blue Lagoon again - LOVED it! Atlantis was ok but the full experience at Blue Lagoon was much better.

17 Oct 2015 Disney Fantasy Western Caribbean

We have stayed at the Radisson before two of our cruises (for our first cruise we stayed at the Hyatt in the airport and used Disney transportation). I think we'll probably stay at the Radisson again this year.

    Restaurant recommendation in Port Canaveral

We ate at Zachary's the night before our last cruise. Staff were fantastic. Decent food. Party of 10 (5 adults/5 children) and everyone was satisfied. Two of the kids have severe nut allergies and one adult can't have gluten - no problems at all. Very accommodating.

Bahamas Blue Lagoon Excursion-Yay or Nay?

We visited Blue Lagoon in 2010 and loved it. We did the dolphin swim but at the time there was also an encounter (waist deep) and also sea lion trainer for a day. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. Easily nabbed a hammock. They had some huge inflatable climbers/obstacles in the water but...

    Disposable Underwater Cameras?

My DS got some great pics using the Fuji one (and he had a blast taking them).

Atlantis or Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter

We took a trip to Atlantis in 2010 when my DS was 9. We did the dolphin encounter (in waist deep water, no 'swim' or 'push' from the dolphins) due to his age (you had to be 10 for the swim). In the same area you could see the older kids doing the swim. My son loves marine life so when I booked...

    Western Dolphin Encounter

We did the dolphin encounter and sea turtle farm in Grand Cayman. Loved it! Lots of interaction with the dolphins. There was some swimming involved (you had to swim out a bit for the belly ride and banana board push). Sea turtle farm was a great addition! I remember the pics being a little...

Nut allergy and Ice Cream on Disney Cruise

Count us as another family with a child with an anaphylactic tree nut and peanut allergy who has enjoyed a TON of the soft serve ice cream on board with no issues/concerns what so ever. Best vacation for my niece as food was never as issue for her - DCL took very good care!

    navigator or secret verandah?

I loved the navigator verandah on both the magic and wonder. I too felt safer with my DS, especially since he insisted on sleeping out there! Also enjoyed have the bench to curl up on.

Chef Mickey cookbook by Pam Brandon

On my last Disney cruise I picked up a cookbook for myself but its not the one you pictured (although it was an option). I got the "Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs" (also by Pam Brandon) instead. It has a bunch of DCL recipes in it. Let me know if you want to know which ones.

    minors traveling with one parent

I too have sole custody of my DS. I alone applied for his passport in person at the local office (I did not mail in the application). I had the court order with me. They read, asked questions and typed a lot into their computer. I had his passport in a few days. I have travelled many times out...

Has anyone done the Atlantis submarine in Cozumel?

My DS and I did this a few years ago. He was 10 at the time. Loved it. The crew were helpful and entertaining. The submarine was not jammed packed and didn't feel 'stuffy' like I was afraid of. Everyone had their own window and clear views. They used themed music for the 'deep' dive and return...

17 Oct 2015 Disney Fantasy Western Caribbean

Hi there! Just booked my DS12 and I on this cruise. It'll be our 4th cruise (all Disney). My sister and her family are also joining us. We are from just outside of Toronto, Canada. Love all things Disney and looking forward to participating in the FE and getting to know our fellow cruisers. :)

Has anyone had to use their travel insurance?

We had to use the ships emergency medical service a few weeks ago when my son broke his arms at Castaway. We were given the bill to sign and it was put on ourr KTTW card. I called my insurance provider and was told that unless the medical care was provided by specific providers (none of those...
