    One day at Shanghai Disney?

I think, for us, if we were to go again just for one day I'd spend the extra and get the premium set. As you said, how often are you going to get to Shanghai? There were many rides we would have liked to have done but the wait times just too long and the fast passes no longer available. Having...

    One day at Shanghai Disney?

We just got back from China and had just one day in the park. It was a Friday but crowds were still pretty sizeable. We took a cab direct from our hotel and arranged it the night before with the concierge. The cabs will take 4 max so our group needed 3 cabs. We considered taking transit but from...

    My thoughts on Shanghai Disney.

We just got back from China last week. We had one day free in Shanghai so of course we decided to go to Disneyland - up until I did a Google search on things to do in Shanghai - up until then I had no idea the park existed! We were travelling with 2 other families and we kept it secret from the...

Shanghai and Hong Kong Disneyland March 17 – Day 7 Complete in Hong Kong Proper; 12/04

Just got back from our China trip (still feeling the jet lag!) but had an amazing time and so glad we were able to go to Shanghai Disneyland, if only for one day. We didn't get there right at opening like I would have liked and so there was a fair sized lineup for security and tickets (we went...

    Facebook and Gmail in Shanghai

I'm in China right now (currently going 307km/h on the high-speed bullet train from Xi'an to Shanghai!) and so far haven't been having any issues accessing Facebook on my iPhone. I'm using the app but the website seems to work for me too. I was very surprised to see I had access since I was sure...

Shanghai and Hong Kong Disneyland March 17 – Day 7 Complete in Hong Kong Proper; 12/04

Thanks very much to you both! It's sort of a spur of the moment thing as we just happened to have a day free in Shanghai. Won't be able do everything of course but will focus on the attractions specific to Shanghai and just have a fun day of it. By that time we'll have seen the Great Wall, Xi'an...

Shanghai and Hong Kong Disneyland March 17 – Day 7 Complete in Hong Kong Proper; 12/04

Great trip report so far! Thanks for all the detailed info. We're taking a family 2 week vacation to China and have a spare day in Shanghai. I did a search of things to do and found out there was a brand new Disneyland! I didn't even know. Can't wait to go but am panicking over the apparent lack...

Digital Scrappers - Post Pages Here II: Will be unstuck on 4/30.

THANKS!! Well, I actually got a little carried away! :) I scanned all of the elements (passes, lanyard, pins we bought, etc.) as individual files and then assembled the montage, applied drop shadows and everything in Photoshop. Some items like the stroller licence plate and Mousekeeping thank...

    Digital Scrapbooking

I'm just finishing up a digital photobook of our WDW trip from this past April. I'm using Photobook Canada and have been very happy with both the software and quality of the printed books. I like that the software is fairly flexible and allows me to customize my layouts as much as I want. I'm...

Digital Scrappers - Post Pages Here II: Will be unstuck on 4/30.

Just getting started on a digital scrapbook for our trip this past April. Lots of great ideas in this group - thanks! I'm using Photobook Canada and keeping the design pretty straightforward but a couple of pages I'm doing up photo-montages such as this one for all our souvenirs, Disney pins and...

Pirates, Jedi & Characters, Oh My! (aka... an excess of planning pays off!)

Thanks WDWJonasGirl! I'm not sure what more to add to the trip report other than we're all missing Disney and especially the Polynesian! We were out for dinner with my parents on the weekend (it was their 50th anniversary!) and we were saying how much we loved the Poly. My mum would want to go...

    OFFICIAL The Pirates League Thread

That's SO cool it happened for her then!! :) We loved the Pirate's League - it, along with Pirate Goofy & getting called on stage with Capt. Jack was a real highlight of the trip for her, and all of us as well!

That happened to my daughter as well! She got "Margaret Blackhawk" I wasn't sure if it was an happy coincidence or not. (I was never sure with Disney - everything is so well thought-out and planned it was hard to tell what was scripted or not!) My DD was surprised and thrilled that they knew her...

    NEW! Disney PhotoPass+ arriving April 4, 2012

Actually it was announced at the beginning of May that The Pirate's League photo package would now be included with the Photopass+. It was too late for us on our trip at the end of April of course but oh well. :(

Our First Magical Poly Vacation: April 14-21 2012!

Well that sucks!! Sorry for the trouble you had getting home. I'm not sure about other airlines in the states but Air Canada is no better that's for sure! We flew SunWing from Toronto to Orlando other than it being a small plane so I was a bit squished the flight was trouble-free.

    Old Disney Park photos

Great photos everyone! My mum finally scanned some of our old slides. Here's a bunch from our trip in 1973 just a few years after the park opened. We camped in our trailer at Fort Wilderness and I remember fishing with my Grandfather in the little creek behind our campsite.

Our First Magical Poly Vacation: April 14-21 2012!

The trail was closed when we were there just after you and from reports I've read parts of it (mostly the ITtBaB queue area) have since re-opened with (hopefully) temporary netting installed. Maybe the Tree will be up for a refurbishment soon to track down the problem...

Pirates, Jedi & Characters, Oh My! (aka... an excess of planning pays off!)

OK, it took me a bit longer to get around to it but here are some pictures of the custom autograph book I did up for my daughter. I created the file in Adobe InDesign, a desktop publishing program, simply because that's what I'm used to. I imagine someone could do something similar in Word or...

    OFFICIAL The Pirates League Thread

We weren't asked for it when we checked in just our daughter's name and never had a problem. Actually we were never asked all week for any of our confirmation numbers for any other ADRs either. After a while I stop worrying about them. :confused3
