Has anyone here used A Timeshare Broker

We bought 230 points at OKW through a timeshare broker a few years ago (might have even been The Timeshare Store). It was easy. It probably took a little longer than most, as the original owners were from South Africa, which I assume complicated things a little due to the distance.

Selling Our DVC-- Tough Choice!! And Questions

I'm sad to announce that we have made the difficult decision to sell our Disney Vacation Club contract. We are moving to Arizona in a few months, and our kids are school age now, so I know we won't be able to visit WDW as regularly as we have been. We are going to use the money from selling our...

DVC member site not working for me- is it my Mac?

I too have found that the site that it no longer works properly on OS X with Safari, FireFox, Opera, OmniWeb, or Internet Explorer. iCab kind of works, but it looks terrible -- everything is messed up but at least the links work. Nice work, Disney!

Where will DD sleep when she is too big for Pack and Play?

On this last trip, both our kids starting sleeping on the sofa bed. Our daughter is 4 and son is 2 1/2. Most nights we all had the same bedtime. But a few nights, we let the kids fall asleep in the Master bed. Then we picked them up and moved them to the sofa bed later on. You'll probably find...

Just back from OKW (and SoG, and ASMov)

We just got back from a fairly long trip to WDW (Oct 1-9). To save some points, we spent the first 2 nights (Oct 1-2) at Shades of Green. My brother is an Army officer, and he and our sister-in-law had an adjoining room in the new wing of SoG. I was very impressed with the resort and...

    SOG --> OKW (luggage transfer?)

We've resort hopped before and had our luggage transported from one resort to the other. But does anyone know if luggage can be transported from Shades of Green to another resort (in this case, Old Key West)? I would expect the answer to be "no", but I'm just wondering. If not, no big deal...

    Shades of Green ticket prices.

Are the tickets sold at SOG subject to sales tax? We will be at SOG (2 nights) / OKW (5 nights) / ASMov (1 night) the first week in October!

    Xmas at okw

Last year we brought a pre-decorated tree we had bought at Wal-Mart -- it has fiber-optic lights in it so there's really only one bulb. It's only about 2 or 3 feet high. It's kind of cheesy but the kids liked it. We also brought couple of strands of lights and an extension cord and we ran those...

Anyone going to WDW in October?

We (me, DW, DD 4, DS 2 1/2) are going Oct 1-9. We'll be staying Fri/Sat nights at Shades of Green. Then we'll be going "home" to OKW Sun-Thu night in a 1BR. Finally, we'll top it off Fri night at either a Value or Moderate. My brother and his new bride will be there as well -- he's active US...

Who else will be home in Oct?

We'll be staying at Shades of Green Oct 1-2, then home to OKW Oct 3-8, then a final night somewhere still to be determined. Just waiting to see what kind of AP rates are available at that time. Probably at a moderate or a value.

    Rental cars

I'm guessing you meant "prices", not "prizes"? I've been pleased with Dollar at MCO. Check sites like http://www.MouseSavers.com for coupon codes. You might also consider signing up for Dollar's free FastLane membership. They have a special line at the check-in for FastLane members, which can...

Did you go to Disney as a kid?

My brother and I never got to go as kids -- though I always wanted to! I remember thinking how cool I thought the Contemporary looked with a monorail running through it! High tech stuff! We were probably too poor to go. I made my first trip with some buddies of mine in 1989 when I was 23 and...

Just got back....not our best trip

We were at WDW this past Dec. 14-19. The crowds the 14th-17th weren't bad at all. We were able to walk on to many rides and only had short lines for the others. As the week progressed, the crowds started to build. Thursday the 18th was pretty full, as folks started coming for the Christmas...

    Happy Birthday kgforce! 2/22

Sorry for the belated "Thanks!" -- I've been either swamped with work, out of town, or cleaning up after our son who had a some sort of stomach bug! I think I got more "happy birthdays" here at DIS, than I did from my family and friends!!

How old were your children the first time you took them to Disney?

Our DD was 14 months old the first time she went. DW was 5 months pregnant with DS at the time! The first time our DS went (outside of the womb!) was when he was 8 months old and DD was not quite 2 1/2 years old). We went back again about 6 months later, and then we went again in Dec 2003 when...
