I'm traveling solo right now! Just got to orlando today, and this canadian is melting!! Just got back to my hotel after some dtd. First time in wdw,a little overwhelmed haha!! But having a blast. Would love to meet up with some others. Not so fun drinking alone, plus then if I'm not alone its...
Going to be at the park for the first SWW! Yay!
This is my first trip to WDW and I'm a but of a Star Wars and vinylmation nut. Does anyone know where the best place to get vinylmations is, and is there any chance I would be able to get my hands on a Rancor?
The planning for this weekend seems...
I didn't read through the entire thread (just subbed to it now)
I currently have FP+ scheduled mostly for late afternoon evening. In hopes that I'll be able to do many rides at rope drop.
In light of the new announcement should I change all FP+ to morning?? Ugh!
Hopefully it will be worth it...
This is some great info! Thank you sooo much.
First trip to WDW and first solo trip + SWW = an awesome time to tour at my own pace (rather briskly, haha)
Hey all, planning very first trip to WDW in May!!
Just wondering about parking strategies. I am stating off site and renting a car, so I'll be driving to the park.
Is it best to park at a central parking lot and use the WDW transportation, or should I use the parking lot at the individual...
Decided to go solo to the world for a Star Wars weekend! Going to be there between may 8-19. Coming all the way from Alberta Canada.
Just excited and thought I'd share! :)
Being Canadians we also worried about cash. We (as most canadians) are heavily dependent on debit so we aren't used to cash. Coupled with the fact that we certainly aren't used to one or two dollar bills made for some adjustment. Basically we made sure that the hotels had in room safes and we...
This is interesting to me.
So last August we were very sad we couldn't upgrade our 5 day park hopper as we were in California for 10 days.
Anyway, we are from Canada and we get our park hoppers through airmiles rewards program, works out very well for us.
Basically, it looks like we...
We stayed at the carousel last August. We just needed a place to sleep for 10 days and it served us well! We have no complaints. We upgraded to the concierge rooms in the back, it was very quiet, and it was cleaned everyday, plus the closeness to the park was awesome. As others have said the...
Wow congrats!! I've only been to dis twice, but I'm also a huge planner so maybe I can help a bit. As far as reservations go, alot of the food places are counter service so no need. But, if you want to eat somewhere like carthay circle (DCA) or Blue Bayou you will need reservations.
As far as...
Food was a big part of our last trip. Carthay circle was great for me! I had the steak with blue cheese and grapes. Fantastic!! DW and DS were unimpressed with theirs unfortunately, so considering the price, we probably won't go back. Another thing was I made reservations, they took down my...
There is a section as soon as you enter the dark area where it starts black before the semi truck headlights turn on. It's only a couple of seconds of that. Also the combine after the tractor tipping could make little ones jump.
We stayed in the club rooms in the back in August, we actually really liked our stay there. It was very close to the park, and really very clean. The staff was nice, we had a problem with our ac unit and they sent someone up within 5 minutes or so. The nice thing about the club rooms at the bald...
Ok, so definitely going to think about onsite!
DL is a piece of cake! Park hopping there is a must.
Thanks again. Reading all the replies with interest!
