    Those who drive in...

No, we take the luggage into the resort. We always arrive early - usually around noon - and only one time was our room not ready. On that occasion, we gave our luggage to Bell Services to hold. We don't leave anything in the car for the heat/security issues mentioned by PPs.

Where else to vacation that matches being in "the Disney BUBBLE"????

Oops, sorry - I live in Florida so my thinking tends to be Florida-centric. ;) I was referring to the one in Palm Beach: http://www.thebreakers.com.

Where else to vacation that matches being in "the Disney BUBBLE"????

We're going to try out The Breakers this summer. So much to do onsite and of course it's right on the ocean, I'm hoping it will match Disney in terms of feeling away from it all yet offering so much to do. Vacations we've taken in the past that provided an immersive, don't-even-need-your-car...

    Soarin..Do you love it?

We like it, but not enough to stand in a line longer than say 20 minutes or even to go out of our way for a FP. Plus it makes me a little nauseous. :confused3 That said, the popularity of it and TT makes the rest of Epcot much more manageable. :thumbsup2

If not 3 then how many?

Four or five, no tiering, across all parks to allow for park hopping. I'd also like the system to not force someone to book all the FP available to them. If someone only wants one or two FP, let them do that to free up openings for those that *do* want them. (Unless they've already changed...

Which deluxe would you never return to?

I won't go so far as to say we'd never return to a resort - who knows what the future will bring? - but Poly will most likely be at the bottom of our list for awhile. As others have said, it's very hectic and crowded, and I'm not a fan of the outbuilding layout (especially since it rained a...

Soarin, TT and what else for FP?

What about Maelstrom? My kid loves it, and lines can get long depending on time of day/year you're there.

    Epcot FP+ tiers gone...for now.

Thank you so much for posting this! We leave in a month for a short Epcot-only trip, and I was just able to go in and change our FP+ reservations to exactly what we wanted. :thumbsup2

Shoes for the parks maybe flats?UPDATE post 66

I don't know about flats; I have rotten luck finding flats that are even comfortable enough for daily life. My feet would be a blistered mess wearing them at Disney. I do think you can wear *some* sneakers with skinny jeans: Chucks, Keds, and low-profile retro sneakers (like the Saucony...

    Adult restaurant suggestions

A friend and I had dinner at Ocean Prime a couple of years ago. It was very good and had a great, upscale "adult" atmosphere.

Beach day: Siesta Key or Daytona or ??

I live in Sarasota, so am obviously biased but Siesta Key is the way to go. :thumbsup2 Depending on your driving speed and traffic, it'll probably take you an hour and 45 minutes to get there from Disney. We live off the Clark Rd. exit and get to Disney in 90 minutes. That said, February is...

Disappointed in GF, the magic is gone

I'm so sorry you've had a less-than-stellar experience this trip. The cruise cancellation was handled very poorly by Disney. As others have said, boats break down...which means Disney should be prepared with other options for their guests when it happens. And park tickets is clearly not an...

First stay at the boardwalk Inn...

Our first stay at BWI was just as good as yours. Hoping to repeat the magic during an upcoming visit. :wizard: Thanks for sharing your experience! :goodvibes

How cold is it down there???

It's FREEZING!! But I live in Florida, so take that with a grain of salt. ;)

    A MAGICAL CHRISTMAS ~Trip Report~

Talk about a great memory! But I think the new house you're talking about is actually now our old house. We built a house, lived in it a bit, then went, "what were we thinking? This doesn't work for us at all!" So we sold it and are in another new (old) house now. Never a dull moment. ;)...

    A MAGICAL CHRISTMAS ~Trip Report~

YAY! Your trip report is up!! I've been waiting just a bit eagerly.... :yay::yay::yay::yay: That is SO AWESOME that you got upgraded to CL, and SO VERY deserved. :thumbsup2 I can't even imagine how many people have stayed at WL due to your amazing thread and insights. What a perfect Christmas...

    Spring Break - March 2014

No, sorry. In fact, my sister lives in Orlando and her stepson has spring break March 24-28.

    Spring Break - March 2014

Nope, I live in Florida and our school district's spring break is March 10-14. And we'll be at Disney. :goodvibes OP, yes, the resorts will be crowded, but it's not unbearable. Just go into it with your expectations in line, and you'll have a great time. :thumbsup2

    Help This Deluxe Newbie

Based on all your criteria, I'd say either YC or BWI. Both will comfortably sleep five. Both have pools with great slides. Both have great restaurants, plus are within easy walking distance to all the other Epcot resorts. And both tend to have quieter lobby areas (plus I think a garden view...

    Frequency of Trips to Disney

We live close by and go two or three times per year, but only for a few days at a time. We have some elderly pets we don't like to leave for very long. :) Disney isn't the only place we get away to, but it's definitely been our preferred destination for the last few years. It's a place we all...
