I'm going to take the leap and recommend that you get 5 day passes. there is more than enough to do to keep you entertained for all 5 days and you have an opportunity to see all of the shows and entertainment that those in your group want to see.

You will have a nice amount of space, (two or) three bathrooms, and an incredible view of California Adventure. We love PPH. We stayed at a suite in the DLH for Christmas last year and my family much prefers PPH.
That is the BUSIEST week of the year. We go for Christmas, but leave the 27th before crowds get even bigger. I love Christmas in the parks, but would never face the New Year's crowd level.
Does anyone know where to get the best price on prepaid charachter meal vouchers these days? In the past I've used lastminutetravel, but haven't heard anything about them in a while.
Can I ask why you took 99 instead of 5? I've heard others talk about this and I'm always curious as to why. We leave middle of the night thursday/Friday and I'm wondering if we should consider 99.

Have you considered Surf's Up (inside PPH) or Storytellers (connected to the Grand)? My family prefers them to Minnie's and Goofy's. If you are really set on those two, I'd go with Minnie's.
