    Whats wrong with Movies resort?

I truly hope that losing a stuffed animal remains the most heartbreaking experience for all of you, but I'm afraid that life will provide other opportunities for disappointment...

Drinking around the world? Help please

Google "drinking around the world" and several sites will pop up. One in particular sells a passport that you can get signed by a CM in each country. It comes with a lanyard, so you can wear it. It's a fun memento. We used it for a 21st birthday celebration, and even in a whole week we didn't...

    Pet Peeves

Doors: a no-win situation. I held the door open for an older woman, who then SCREAMED at me. It seems that she wanted to use the door handle for support as she shuffled through the entrance. How was I to know? :confused3

    Pet Peeves

An oldie but goodie: When you're waiting for the parade and someone else decides that he/she must have YOUR spot. So he/she pushes, shoves, nudges, steps in front, etc.

    Anyone visit Disney after 9/11?

We had a trip scheduled about three weeks after 9-11. Of course, after the attacks we debated whether we should go to WDW. Was it safe to fly? Was it appropriate to go to "the happiest place on earth" when the entire country was in mourning? After many discussions, we finally decided to keep...

    Les chefs, opinions?

For years this was on our "must do" list. However, quality of food and service began declining until it reached absolute rock bottom. On our last visit, the service was abominable, and the food was even worse. It's now on our "never again" list. If you try it, I hope you'll have better luck...

    Dining Plan Prices: Too Much???

Have you been reading my mind? This is exactly what I think about the DDP! :thumbsup2

Someone with boys has to agree with me!

Capt. Jack Sparrow would be lucky to escape with his life from that character meal! :rotfl:

    Wristlet instead of park bag?

Ah, now I see my problem. I just need a DH with cargo pockets. That seems to be a rather large accessory for a wristlet...:lmao:

    Wristlet instead of park bag?

Well, now I KNOW I look suspicious! :rotfl2:

    Birthday Present From Mickey

We've never received a birthday gift at the resort. Free champagne at a restaurant, sure. Even a special dessert. But a framed photo at the resort? Never. You must know Mickey personally!

    Looking for the best sunscreen

Neutragena, as recommended by dermatologist and pharmacist. It's non-greasy, effective and doesn't stain. Also, it has a more pleasant odor than some other brands. We prefer 30 spf, which seems to be hard to find, for some reason. So we typically end up using a higher spf.

    Wristlet instead of park bag?

I guess I look suspicious. The guards always have checked my wristlet.

    Wristlet instead of park bag?

A wristlet is the way to go! It makes going through the security line much quicker, and it's easy to hold onto during rides. I use one large enough for an iphone, KTTW, chapstick and a little cash. (Just be sure to choose one that has a comfortable strap. If it's rough or stiff, it will hurt...

    Telling server you're on DDP

When we've used DDP, we haven't been treated poorly because of it. However, when we've declined to order a beverage or dessert, some servers have questioned why and reminded us that it's included. When I say we just don't want them, sometimes we get an arched eyebrow... Also, on our last...

What restaurant were you pleasantly surprised by?

La Hacienda. I'm not a fan of the ubiquitous brown sauce/beans/mystery meat mashup that's found in our local mex restaurants, so I had very low expectations for La Hacienda. What a great surprise! Everything, from the drinks to the chips to the entrees, was freshly prepared, unique and tasty...

What is the most overrated Restaurant at Disney

Okay, I'll bite. The most overrated is Le Cellier. Yes, the food is good, and it's been on our list of must-dos for years. However, I think the price (whether OOP or dining plan) is way out of whack for the quality of food, service and atmosphere. For the same money or less, I've had much...

What is the most overrated Restaurant at Disney

I had to laugh at your post because it reminded me of the Dixie Stampede dinner show in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. As part of its gimmick, no utensils are provided. The server holds up his hands and says, "This is your fork, and this is your spoon!" I was not amused, although my family liked my...
