We stayed in a savannah view room at Kidani by renting DVC points (it only cost $150 including tax per night). Savannah view was gorgeous, but there are so many public areas to see the animals, including every 20 seconds of hallway (lol!), that it isn't "necessary". AKL is absolutely stunning...
