    SD Zoo & WAP

You definitely need one day for each. We just went to the zoo on Sunday and spent about 6 hours there. That's without kids and we didn't even see everything.

    skip USH--not worth the bucks

For me, USH is a waste of money. There is not much to do there and what they do have there is lame. The Mummy is OK but not worth more than a 15 minute wait. Same for Jurassic Park and Shrek. The Studio Tour is OK but also, not worth more than a 30 minute wait. You would think they would...

Which Vegas Hotel & Does This Sound Doable?

Try Planet Hollywood, it's centrally located, newer and has decent rooms (I stayed there when it was the Aladdin). Plus, the times I've checked out room rates, it's been cheaper than nearby hotels. I've never stayed at the Luxor because I'm not big on the theme and where it's located. I...

    Las Vegas hotel reviews

Just adding two more hotel reviews... Hilton Grand Vacation Club-Flamingo - My husband and I decided to try and save money by staying at my parents timeshare. It's located behind the Flamingo and it used to be called the Carriage House. Let it be known, I would rather stay in a hotel than...

Need dining suggestions for 2 adults

Hi all! My husband (28) and I (29) are taking our 2nd adult trip to Disney World in January and I need help picking TS restaurants for dinner. I consider ourselves foodies and we generally do not like chains. We are not big steak eaters and love Italian, seafood and Mexican. We hated San...

What about Mario Batali's restaurant, Pizzeria Mozza? It's the casual version of Osteria Mozza.

    Best Route from I-15 ??

There is still a ton of construction going on. To avoid it, stay on the 10 to the 57.

    Best Route from I-15 ??

If you decide you want to take the 91, there is no reason to get on the 215. You can just take the 15 the 91.

    Best Route from I-15 ??

It depends where on the 15 you are coming from. North of the 210: 15-210-57-exit Katella or Ball Near the 10: 15-10-57-exit Katella or Ball Near the 60: 15-60-57-exit Katella or Ball Near the 91: 15-91-57-exit Katella or Ball I, personally, would avoid the 91 at all costs. We used to...

    Getting into Anaheim

I live in Redlands which is off the 10 freeway, about an hour West of Palm Springs, and we drive to Anaheim all the time. If I were you, I would avoid the 60 and 91 at all costs. We live over here and avoid them at all costs. Since the completion of the 210 over here, the 10 through Ontario...

    McDonalds/Route 66 Museum - San Bernadino

If it's still open, you can skip it. It's in a horrible area and not worth the drive over.

    Opinions on These Restaurants

There isn't a La Brea bakery in CA, that's Boudin's with the sourdough bowls. We LOVE getting lunch at La Brea. My husband gets the turkey panini and I get the grilled cheese. We hardly ever eat in the parks since La Brea costs the about same amount and the food is a LOT better.

    Police/Fire Discounts @ Swan/Dolphin

I'm beginning to plan our DW vacation and I was wondering if the teacher and military discount @ the Swan/Dolphin included police and fire? The website does not say it it includes those employees but I know sometimes you have to ask. TIA!

My favorites in no particular order... Mesa Grill @ Ceasar's (fancy southwestern) Fix @ Bellagio (fancy comfort food, i.e. Tater tots with Brie, Kobe Beef Sliders, etc.) Rao's in Ceasar's (fancy Italian, best meatballs ever) Stack @ Mirage (same as Fix just at the Mirage, slightly...

How far of a drive is Palm Springs to San Diego?

It's do-able but it will about 2 hours each way. If you don't mind spending at least 4 hrs. in the car, go for it. San Diego is lots of fun.
