So then what is the general thought then? Assuming Disney is open this summer (very uncertain of course) is it going to be packed, dead or somewhere in between? We have a mid July off-site trip planned and i just don’t see it being worth it reading most of the posts.

Not sure if this will be definitely true. They have to put out a good product to keep the business going strong. Continuing to cut more and decrease the value for a family further may do more damage than the money they will save. I hope they are thinking on these lines.

This is a head scratcher for me and seems like such a contradiction. How are people getting same day fastpasses for the biggest headliners when the app is showing 120, 150, 180 minute waits all-day for these rides??????? I guess I really don't understand what Disney is doing with fastpasses.

Another rough looking day today for wait times. Most all headliners are 2-3 hour waits right now across all 4 parks. So hoppers would not help on a day like today.

We had this same plan, except maybe 2 and 2. Prices were ridiculous. Unless money is not an issue you kind of have to go either all Disney or all Universal.

Going in July staying offsite in a house about 25 minutes away. Is it reasonable still to take that all-important mid-day break to swim and nap and then go back for evening? What about Magic Kingdom with the parking situation? will that eat up too much time?

What about attraction down times? I haven’t seen any threads lately about bad days where 2 or 3 big rides are down at the same time for large parts of the day. Is Disney overall been doing a good job of keeping things running? This of course would make a crowded day even worse if rides were...

Actually this is our favorite thing to do, that is, stay offsite but plan a short stay at a Disney hotel. It is like a trip within a trip, very fun. But I would recommend staying 2 nights at WDW, makes the experience better overall. Unless you were booking only to get the early FP+

Yes, as CAS pointed out above, your whole plan depends on how early you get there and how front of the line you are. Looks like a fun plan.

I vote for AK full day. I have found that a number of early teens are not as enamored with World Showcase as adults tend to be. Knock out the main attractions in Future World starting at rope drop and skip the Showcase. The full day at AK would be more action packed.

revdon brings up a good point: what is the quality of the rides? Anybody know the basic idea of the Banshee ride? Is it just another soarin in a mass theater or is it individual cars/vehicles moving about a larger area or track?

Yes, I would like to hear what the OP knows about bed bugs; reading her post does not sound like she knows much about it. I would find it hard to believe that the people she talked to at POR would easily dismiss her about these "bug bites from the bed". I believe they take it pretty seriously...

I think kj2Mom made a good point though that some may miss. She only accomplished FEA and Test Track single rider in first hour. Not necessarily a bad thing but because of the extra walking you wont get a whole lot done in Epcot in the first couple hours because of the extra walking.
