    Is it really possible?

There's certainly enough to keep you going in Universal and Islands of Adventure. (My DH actually prefers them shhhhh!). We leave in a couple of weeks and having tickets for both, but the first week my DS and his fiancee join us, and they don't want to spend on Disney tickets. They have...

    birthdays

I'm another one who couldn't lie. You can't wear a button saying 'it's my birthday' when it isn't! - that's called telling fibs! Where do you draw the line - a week either way? a month? I come back from Disney 6 weeks before my birthday, would that entitle me to say it? It just isn't right...

    Just confirmed next december.....

You are going to have a blast. Do a bit of research on these forums and you'll find tons of things to do. My personal favourites - the Candlelight Procession at Epcot, Santas around the world in World Showcase. Osborne lights at Disney Studios. Magical decorations in the parades, huge...

    osbourne lights

I'm remembering they switched them on around 6pm but that was several years ago, so it may have changed. I'm sure someone will be along soon to give a more up to date confirmation!

Universal Horror Nights on travel channel tonight

Thanks for quick reply Daddio. Yes to all of the above - not only scary but in bad taste - I guess it's Mickey's NSSHP for me after all.

Universal Horror Nights on travel channel tonight

Can someone tell me exactly how scary it is? I'd like to go - I think - but am quite easily scared. I figured it couldn't be that bad because they let children in (though I note with a caution), but the only other report I heard said it was terrifying. I know it's subjective, but any other...

OK...The Final Word on Ohanas Please!!

DH, DD and SIL and I went last May for the first time. Really looking forward to it after all the hype. OVERALL VERDICT - GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT I guess the greatest cause was the bad service. We were seated late in the evening and the place didn't look that crowded, but the food was so...

whats thw worst thing you have witnessed on your trip to Disneyworld??

"wee willie winkie runs through the resort this sad sicko is one to report" this thread reminds me of an old Yorkshire saying "there's nowt so queer as folks" Ann.

    December..When Does It Get Busy?

I've been up to 16th December and it has still been quiet. Wonderful time to go and I can recommend it wholeheartedly. We've been lucky with the weather too. I know it gets very busy actually at Christmas, but I think the US children don't get much in the way of Christmas holidays off...

    Attraction Record Holders

DH and I are MIB fanatics - can't say how many times we've ridden in one session but we use the single rider line, cut through the baby swop and often if we've been fast enough, gotten straight on the car we've just come off. We tend to count our number of times in hours - we can do 3 hour...

Can the parks measure official heights with armbands?

I think I read on this board last year that Disneyland Calif. were experimenting with a procedure which is that the child would be measured properly at the entrance and provided with an armband (kind of like the ones you get at hospital which you cannot remove without breaking - so as to prevent...

What do you do to get ready for your trip to US/IOA?

I re-read my MIB Training Manual - gotta prove I can get all the 9's again. Ann

    Your Funniest WDW Experience

A funny incident when we were in Typhoon Lagoon last visit. My DD bought a waterproof camera to take some photos and asked me to take a photo of her and her DH. They looked so far away so I kept asking them to come closer (we were in the big wave pool by the way!). Eventually I took a photo...

    Theme Park bathroom question!

SueM - Gotta support you here - you weren't being rude at all. Rudeness is impertinence and in my opinion you weren't being imperitnent, just assertive in making a perfectly reasonable request. If more of us were politely assertive (not aggressive) fewer people would be able to get away with...

    Theme Park bathroom question!

It makes you wonder what sort of bathrooms these folks have! My own philosophy is to leave the place as you would hope to find it, but that shouldn't run to having to clean up others' messes. Personally I always wait a while to see if it is an automatic flush, if nothing happens after a...

    Tips for Low-Fat Eating

Although I will be indulging now and again whilst in the World, can anyone give any suggestions for low-fat eating? Specifically: 1. Treats/snacks (other than the obvious fresh fruit!). 2. Any meals/choices that are low-fat. Thanks for any tips/help. Ann.

Have just put a Cable Car sundae onto my 'things to try' list for 20 DAYS TIME! (sorry to shout, but I'm just over-dosing on excitement). Ann.

    Kitchen Sink Sundae?

Just for those who don't know, if you are at Epcot you can reach the Beaches and Cream by exiting World Showcase at Epcot, through the International Gateway, then it's a 10-15 minutes walk. It would save you making a special journey to the Boardwalk. Ann.
