Can a 4 y/o go to Disney World and not use a stroller?

I'm always encouraging folks that Disney can be done, comfortably and enjoyably, without a stroller for your preschool aged child. BUT July-September, I think most families would be happier with a stroller. My kiddos did fine several times at/around that age without but those were late...

    go without dh?

If it wouldn't hinder other opportunities to vacation together, I would totally go. We are currently on a non-park Disney trip and it has been a blast. My 7 and 4 year old children have been to the parks plenty of times. We are having a fantastic time hitting the pool, Downtown Disney, character...

Disney It's a Small World Collection by LeSportsac-Final Collection Released (Aug)

Did anyone else see on the Lesportsac Facebook page that the next Disney print will be Cinderella? I can't wait to see pictures!

    2015 Military Package

Oops! I just realized this thread is in the Disney Dad's board, sorry! But, yes, isn't it an incredible deal? We have used the room discount in conjunction with Salute tickets and felt like we were getting an incredible bargain on our Disney vacation.

    2015 Military Package

You can book a hotel stay as long as you like and book a hotel with the discount as many times as you like during the promotional period. You are simply limited to park days because they offer four day tickets at the discount rate and you can not use multiple tickets for the same person within...

    stroller for 6 year old?

It is a tough choice and I think it depends a lot upon touring style and the weather during your stay. When DD was 2 and 3, we brought a stroller but she walked most of the trip. When she was 4, we went in September and we were sad to only have a single for our 1-year-old because she was wiped...

Anna Dress (I've been out of the loop on this one)

Disney Store keeps saying on Facebook that they expect to restock by the end of this month. Not sure how long they will stay in stock, but it seems that there will be more before October.

    Elsa/Anna Animator Dolls

I have friends who have seen them off and on at the Frozen store in Hollywood Studios so I think you have a chance though, I don't think there are ever guarantees with Frozen merchandise. The new set looks nice but I think it is an enormous price hike to get two extra dresses. I hardly think...

    Stroller for 100+ pound kid

In fact, there used to be a blog with pictures making fun of kids in that situation. Not endorsing it, at all, just saying that it was out there and popular enough to end up on the Today Show. But, I digress, I would definitely investigate wheelchair rental if they are too disabled to walk...

    Flight times and young children....

I would keep the flights as you have them unless the kids have to go to school the day after you return, in which case, I think I'd book the earlier flight back since they won't get a good night of rest or any downtime to acclimate to being back at home before jumping back into their regular...

Ideas for breakfast/lunch at room temperature/travel friendly?

I'm not sure if it has changed in the last year but we've generally had good luck requesting a microwave. If we didn't get one, we were always able to use the one in the food court of our resort. Maybe a bit inconvenient but worth it to us if we only needed to microwave one or two quick things.

Ideas for breakfast/lunch at room temperature/travel friendly?

Our general packing list includes: organic whole apples, clementines, a container of apricots or plums or some other fruit that travels well, squeezable fruit/veggie pouches, homemade trail mix, cashews, pistachios, Annie's crackers, homemade zucchini mini muffins, Sol bites peanut butter and...

    Traveling between 35-36 weeks pregnant

I agree that that there probably won't be complications and, even if she gave birth in Florida, everything would probably be fine. But, like I said, there are a few insurance companies that will stick you with the bill if you travel out of the area after 34 weeks, even with permission from the...

    Traveling between 35-36 weeks pregnant

Definitely check with your insurance. Ours can (and will) decline to pay if you choose to travel after 34 weeks and need emergency pregnancy-related care or to deliver early even if your doctor approves travel. I would hate to have to pay out of pocket for emergency medical expenses or a delivery.

Disney It's a Small World Collection by LeSportsac-Final Collection Released (Aug)

Anyone know if we will see a fall release of any new Disney patterns? Tink was underwhelming to me so I'd love to see something new.

    Packing breakfasts for the hotel?

In the past, we have brought a glass bowl and then purchased eggs at the store to microwave for breakfast sandwiches. We rent a car for a day and visit Whole Foods and save a decent amount making lunches and some breakfasts in our room. Plus, we don't go home with as much of a restaurant food...

    Weight gain at WDW?

I'm a jogger and try to eat healthy and stay active at home and I can put on 3-5lbs from a week of Disney eating despite all of the walking. The one time we did the dining plan, both DH and I also came home feeling quite sick from a week of restaurant eating. (No matter what choices we make, we...

CRT and Akersus with a boy

If you think he really wouldn't enjoy it and would be upset at being forced to go to two princess meals then I would have a light, early breakfast before hitting the park that day and then try to schedule an 11am lunch somewhere in Epcot. My son (who is still very young) has been to both meals...

Post Disney Let Down and kids

I don't think tears in the few days that she is reintegrating into her regular routine is out of the norm for a 7-year-old. She sounds sensitive. She isn't screaming "take me back to Disney now!" she is feeling disappointed at the end of something that was magic and readjusting to regular life...

    Dooney or Vera Bradley?

Lesportsac, all the way. They currently have a Tinkerbell and a Minnie Mouse line. I really miss their Small World bags as those were really amazing. My DD has a Small World purse and tote and I have two makeup bags collected from various sales on that line.
