Windsor Hills and Reunion- Thoughts on staying off property?

We've stayed in both. Windsor Hills is a more compact smaller resort but perfect for families. It's the closest resort to Disney, only 2 miles to parks. Reunion is 6 miles away and is a far larger more exclusive resort so more expensive. This summarises the differences...

    Offsite rental home recs?

Agree with other posters, can't look past Windsor Hills. Here's a good website linked to the resort: http://www.windsorhillsprivaterentals.com One of the big benefits of WH is the zero entry main community pool. Great for very young kids

    Championships Gate Questions

Champions Gate is the newest most impressive resort in Orlando I believe. We have friends that rented this villa http://www.championsgateprivaterentals.com/property.php?propertyid=17 Not sure how complete the resort is at present. It's a challenger to Reunion as homes and facilities are pretty...

Paying all up front and VRBO

Generally deposit is required then full payment 6-10weeks from checkin. Why do they want it all now? Unless there is a deal being offered I wouldn't think that was usual for Orlando.

    Condo/Townhouse Advice

I believe townhomes in Windsor Hills and Windsor Palms come with private plunge pool which is unique amongst Orlando resorts so worth considering those. Both great resorts with good community pool areas. Here are the resort websites: http://www.windsorhillsprivaterentals.com...

    Reunion Resort distance to Disney

We stayed there a few years back. Its much different to many of the other resorts in Orlando in thats its more up market and vast. More like collection of resorts. Its around 6 miles from Disney, not too far. There are a large array of property types from small 2 bed condos up to super...

    Offsite House Ideas besides WH

A lot depends on your itinery when you are there. If you are perhaps doing the parks on 4 days out of a 10day holiday then staying in the US27 area suggestion Highlands Reserve is not so bad as 25-30 mins travel isn't that long. Staying closer to Disney is an advantage if you are doing the parks...

    Offsite House Ideas besides WH

Hi - WH is probably number 1 in the area so if you are looking for something of equal standard but slightly less expensive would recommend (as some others have) Emerald Island, it's very similar to WH, 3 miles to Disney, gated, good clubhouse/pool area. If you are willing to go slightly further...

How far in advance to book offsite condo?

As OP suggests booking late is a good idea. Arrange your flights now then book accommodation nearer the time. Have found this guide useful, worth a read: http://www.emeraldislandprivaterentals.com/blog/tips-how-to-get-an-orlando-villa-rental-deal/ The resort it relates to is worth...

    Reunion Resort

This may be of use: http://www.reunionprivaterentals.com/reunion-resort/communities/ Reunion is large and multi-community rather than being one single gated community. It's beautiful and higher standard than other resorts. Probably appeals to more international vacationers.

    Anything similar to Windsor Hills?

Hi - assume you are talkig about a townhome? Condos are apartments and dont come with spalsh pools. Townhomes at Windsor Hills are the only resort that has townhomes with private plunge pools. Other options you could consider are Emerald Island, its just as close to Disney and just as nice...

    looking to renting a house

Emerald Island is an option, Windsor Hills obviously. If you are not too interested in parks you could try Omni Champions Gate or Reunion, slightly further out. Both are very high standard. Dave
