    Tslimx2 insulin pump and rides?

My son, 14 has type 1 diabetes and uses the tslimx2 insulin pump. Have others went to Disney with tslimx2 pump that can offer some advice? Our trainer told us to disconnect on roller coasters. I'm not sure if that also means the pump itself can not go on the ride? If just disconnecting was all...

    Japan for Illuminations

I can't remember 100% but I think I got there maybe an hour early. With intentions of taking pictures of the fireworks from the balcony. People didn't start showing up until mabe 30 minutes prior to the start. It was a really cool spot. Maybe an odd night but there wasn't many people on the...

    Focusing question

I played around a bit today and with my tokina it still seems tack sharp right smack in the middle of the infinity symbol. So I set it to infinity and looking through the pictures of tonight's firework display, they are really good and very sharp! And I had said that I felt like the tokina may...

    Focusing question

Yes I know what you mean about the clutch mechanism. On my 18-105mm it was a simple switch of a button. The tokina you have to pull back on the focus ring and it can be problematic. As long as I've had my camera, I've never really used the Af button thats on the back of the camera? So I'm not...

    Focusing question

Okay, Yes that makes sense. Thanks for your quick response! We go to 3 local displays every year. The 1st is in a small town behind the ball field and we are pretty close to where they are shot off. The 2nd is in the country shot over a bridge. We sit pretty far off in a valley. And we have 1...

    Focusing question

I could sure use some advice when it comes to focusing for taking pictures of fireworks. I've always enjoyed taking pictures of fireworks, & have worked hard through the years to learn everything I can about taking good pictures of fireworks. I really felt like I had this down to a science! For...

Selfie sticks are banned, but tripods ARE STILL OKAY!

Good to hear! Thanks for posting!! :-) Fireworks are one of my favorite things to photograph, and it's pretty tough to accomplish without the use of a tripod. I'm always aware of my surrounding and try my best to keep my tripod out of the way of people watching the fireworks. A little courtesy...

    Fireworks w/tokina 11-16 w/o nd filter?

Great advice! I really like the idea of keeping the nd filter and plate in the tripod bag. Genious! I'm on my way to the display now. I'm really excited to photograph the fireworks in Disney this October. Hence I really want to get a little use with my new lens beforehand. I've photographed...

    Fireworks w/tokina 11-16 w/o nd filter?

Oh Thank you so much, I was in such a panic, I completely forgot about the cardboard/hat trick! For just 1 burst though should I try and stay within the 2-7 seconds, as to not loose all the color. On a side note I did get a 77mm nd filter ordered. Should be here for the displays on the 4th &...

    Fireworks w/tokina 11-16 w/o nd filter?

We have 1 of our 1st local firework displays tonight. I normally use my 18-105mm with my d-7000 and 0.9 nd filter attatched. I was so excited to use my new tokina 11-16mm, and realized I don't have an nd filter that fits this lens. Will I just not be able to keep the lens open as long as I...

    e-cigarettes and flying?

Do you know if e-cigarettes and e-liquid are allowed to take on an airplane? First time flying. I know you can not smoke on the flight, just want to make sure it's not a problem to bring with on the flight. I figured some one here would know. Thanks!
