If you have more than one child, when did you stop hiring babysitters?

Props to you for realizing your older kid is not slave labor for your younger kid. You had the second one, it's up to you to take care of it, not your older kid! It really ticks me off when I hear of people treating the older child like free bus service, babysitter, etc. Glad to see a...

    I Got Pulled Over

In my state the law is such that you only have to have one out of three tail lights working. So... A cop can pull you over as a public service to remind you, but if he smells weed in your car or he sees an open beer... You're screwed. Its fishing for something, but legal.

How old for child to cook?

I would say 10 to 12, even up to 14 if they are active free range children. Definitely no younger then 5, too much fat and the muscles are stringy. Ohhhhhhh.... Oops. I would say start with letting them help from early age. Measuring and cracking eggs, pouring and stirring, and reading...

    Anyone make their own moonshine?

Hahahahaha! I don't understand the big deal... It's legal to make beer and wine. All a still does is remove the excess water. So legally I can make my own wine, up to 100 gallons a year! But if I take the same wine, dump it in a still and just keep the alcohol, that's illegal, even though I'm...

So, if it is 80 - 85 degrees out, and you are driving around town....

I'd rather pay to turn dinosaurs into cold. I really don't think it's cutting your mileage in half. And if youre driving down the highway with your windows down, the extra drag you are creating is actually worse for your mpg than using the a/c.

    Certified Disney Planner vs. Myself

I like the planning myself... I would never use a planner or TA. Plus, my services are free...

    The new trend at restaurants......

Elzar, the gourmet chef on Futurama once said, "That's what rich people eat, the garbage parts of the food!" A show ahead of it's time...

Once rare childhood diseases now returning

I forget which one.... Lol. Maybe it was B. It was free though.... I figured better safe than sorry against that.

Once rare childhood diseases now returning

    1. No - I almost never get the flu shot. Especially now that they've started including the swine flu shot with it. NOT really interested in being the guinea pig for that. 2. Never heard of adult pertussis before this sudden ad campaign. Not getting that one either. Sounds like big pharma just...

    Puzzled over Extreme Couponing

I think the best part about these shows is it helps the stores learn the tricks. The stores can change their policies, like, if you buy a $1 item with a 1.25 off coupon, then instead of getting an overage to pay for other stuff, maybe the new policy is, there is no overage... The computer just...

To The Teens Sitting Next To Me at the movie Super8

I remember my moms super 8... And the projector. She wouldn't let us near the camera. The film wasn't cheap. I remember going to college and my friend had a computer with a 2400 baud modem, and my hard drive was 40megabytes.... I thought I'd never fill it up.

Once rare childhood diseases now returning

I disagree. I vaccinated my kid, and think it's ridiculous not to. At the same time I think parents have the right to choose what vaccines to give their kids. I do think certain vaccines should be required for school enrollment, but there's always home schooling for those kids who's parents are...

    extra battery?

+1 on this! I did the same thing. I haven't seen a difference between the two. I haven't put them through any sort of test, but they both seem to work well, and at 10$ it's an inexpensive investment.

If u saved enough money to pay cash for your car,

Exactly! They know they will make a lot of money in interest, if they finance it. Wheel and deal and get the free floor mats, and threaten to walk out. Get quotes from other dealerships for the same model of car and bring those quotes up. Calculate what you'll save with several different...

    Puzzled over Extreme Couponing

After Watching this crap a few times I can't any more. These people creating these giant stockpiles gross me out. Yeah I know they might donate it to charity (and of course get a tax write off for something they got for free...) and use some of it at home, but jeez. It seems like a never ending...

    I am a terrible person

I concur! It's just a cat. Like a car or a computer there is a certain point where the cost is just not justifiable, and you should just replace it. Sure, you could replace the motor in your 1986 tercel.... But you're better off to junk it and buy a used corolla.

    Absolutely nauseating...Toddlers and Tiaras

Loved the new show! Eden Wood got taken down a notch when she didn't sweep it, and bawled like the brat she is. Her competition didn't win either, some girl tlc completely ignored won. Shock, she was actually pretty. Hahahahahaha!

Goofy's Jump Jets at Pop Closed

My daughter had such a good time in those before she could swim I looked into getting some at the house. It would be cheaper to put in a whole pool! There are plenty of companies that will install a system, but no one want to just sell you parts. I love those pop jet things. Too bad they are...

    Suggestions for digital camera?

I carried my canon Dslr everywhere last year. I took a small bag and one lens (18-55). It was perfect. This year I'm moving up to a camera backpack, mainly formmy ponchos and my kids autograph book. I had a system. Backpack on kid, kid on my back. But I broke my big toe and hope it heals soon...
