CMs Walking Guests Down Main Street?

It happened both times I was there with DisneySea being the worst! We just got to the side and walked quickly. I didn't see anyone collide or fall though.

    Celebrating birthdays 3 months later?

I saw a little girl at the table next to us in The Crystal Palace wearing a birthday button, and I wished her a happy birthday, intending to tell her she and I shared the birthday. Her grandma leaned over to me and whispered "it's not really her birthday, it's actually 5 months away." I...

Why was a CM "stationed" to watch the Kali River Rafts go over the falls?

I've seen someone sitting there every time I have been on that ride ever since 2010, and I wondered if they were controlling what part of the raft goes down first, cause I have been the one in "that" seat in 14 of my 15 rides!

Guilt? No Guilt? Anniversary Trip Without DD

Go and enjoy and feel no guilt! My husband and I faced this question in May when we were debating taking our 23 year old daughter with us for our 30th anniversary. Of course she was a bit disappointed she was not going to be going with us, but she understood we had earned this time to ourselves...

    Options for 4 Adults

Opinions please! My son is returning from several years in the Navy in Japan and it would fit the family schedule to visit the World on Jan 3 or 4 through the 8th or 9th. The four adults are my husband and myself, and our two children; son 28 and daughter 23. My first thought was a family suite...

    MNSSHP Line Etiquette

We attended the Christmas Party a few years ago and I didn't want to spend all that time in line for the Seven Dwarfs, so I resigned myself to not meeting them. We went on Splash Mountain a few times and their line was always really long.....until....we were getting off Splash for the last time...

When the guy driving behind you is on your tail

When the guy driving behind you is on your tail

I deal with this issue 5 mornings a week on the way to work. Once I reach the interstate (I-26 to Charleston, SC), I have about 17 miles to go before the road terminates into local traffic. There are numerous exit and entrance ramps and a major interchange along the way, all on the right. I get...

Are you a guest or a customer?

I haven't see this mentioned, but on our last visit, I heard a CM talking to another guest about this while I was at the fixins bar at Pecos Bills. He said they had to control tables because too many families with picnics they brought in with them were taking up the tables, mostly outside, which...

    Brazilian Tour Groups

I agree with the PP who said the groups from another country should practice the culture of the country they are visiting. I've been in Japan recently, and they don't want noise on the train. You can talk to another passenger quietly but talking on cell phones in the seating area is not...

Have you ever been INJURED on a ride?

Yes unfortunately. A few years ago my family sat on the back row of the Safari ride in AK. I was on the left side and near the end of the ride the vehicle hit a huge rut or hole and my daughter next to me bounced a good foot off the seat, as did I. She came down hard on her bottom but I came...

Bringing an 8 month old to WDW

I tip my hat to those traveling with infants to WDW - I never could have done it. A double tip to those who are mindful of the child's needs and act accordingly. I did see one 3 week old baby last year and it was hot! The mom was telling a woman that this was her first child, and they just...

    Non-Smokers

Hubby and I were there last week, and we had taken our Dole Whips to sit on a rock wall around a tree, just outside the entrance to Adventureland. As we rested in the shade, we watched a man stroll up, puffing on his cigarette (we were not in a smoking area). He took one last drag, then stubbed...

Anyone notice a decline in parks housekeeping?

My son is in the Navy and has been stationed in Japan for the last 3 years. I've gotten to visit him, and Tokyo Disneyland, twice, and I totally get what you are saying. (I also lived in Iwakuni for a year a long time ago.) I do believe people are leaving a lot more trash behind in general...

Anyone notice a decline in parks housekeeping?

My husband and I just returned from a week at WDW, a celebration of our 30th Anniversary. Overall we had a very good time, but I noticed trash where trash should not be. One of things I have always marveled about at Disney was the way they keep up on housekeeping issues - restrooms are...

Talk me through my 8:05 CRT Res + A&E plan please!

My husband and I just did this last Wednesday. We had an 8:10 ADR and we arrived pretty early (7:20) but were still lined up behind about 12 other families. When they allowed us to enter under the train, we walked rather briskly, stopped to get our picture taken in front of the castle, and...

    Just road mine train!

I don't think it was scary, and was very smooth. We saw lots of kids riding and no obvious complaints. As each car pulled back into the station, everyone cheered! I think you will be fine, enjoy!

    Just road mine train!

A little swaying, there are things to do while in the line, and there is a lot of detail in the beams overhead. It slows down while it goes through the mine an all the dwarves look almost real. At the end you see Snow White dancing in the cottage. We were so lucky!
