    Purchasing Water Bottles Onboard

Once again, I TRULY appreciate the time everyone has taken to respond to this, I have been able to put everything together and figure out what I need to do in my case. Thank you all for your generosity and time.

    Purchasing Water Bottles Onboard

Thanks for taking the time to answer, but in the meantime I learned that since it is under “onboard gifts” it is not refundable, unless they cancel the cruise, so that’s not a risk I want to take. Current price is $55 for $24 and an 18% fee on top of that. It came to about $2.75 a pint if they...

    Purchasing Water Bottles Onboard

I realize the water onboard is potable and safe, but I have a medical reason that I need to purchase and drink bottled water. We’re flying, so it is impractical to bring it along like we do when we drive to a port. My question is, is there a price difference between ordering it ahead of time...

Cannot check in online - now what?

Was having the same problem, but then I saw in a blog that it is midnight in the time zone that your cruise leaves from, so if in TX, it would be midnight Central time, in California, Pacific, and from the East coast of the US, Eastern time, etc.

Been There or Not been there?

Yes. Got shin splints hiking the switchbacks to the bottom, but worth it. Did not get to see bats because there was a tornado watch just across the border in TX, but didn’t come that way. FYI, the motel there (White’s) had a museum with a basement that was also the shelter, so if it had gotten...

Just realized name isn’t exactly correct

I feel for you. Been there, done that under different circumstances. Take the time to correct it now as suggested so that the start of your vacation will be as stress free as possible.

    Bringing non-alcoholic drinks onboard

You could also make your own smoothies with juice, milk or something from the beverage station outside or at cabanas then mix with the self serve frozen dessert in the machine outside by the smoothie place. Just get a larger hot drink cup for that. Be sure and use a napkin on the nozzle on the...

Key West on Our Own/Recovering from Stroke

Thank you! Anyone have an idea of how crowded it is when a ship is in port? I am asking because I have been in Bermuda when the cruise ships come in and it was difficult to get a bus. I take it they are frequent? Again, thank you for thanking the time to help!

Key West on Our Own/Recovering from Stroke

We are booked on the Wonder later in the Fall that has a stop in Key West. I have been there before, so fairly familiar with it, but have always taken a Port Adventure, but the last time, Disney had a hoping/hop off Conch Train, which is no longer listed. What we would like to do is see the...

Yes, my bad. Will edit. Thanks!

    Introducing Disney-Hating Grandparents to WDW/DCL?

If you do cruise, ask that you not share a table with strangers. Nothing worse than having a disgruntled person or people at the table. Only time I dreaded going to dinner. If you must, I suggest a smaller ship (Magic or Wonder). I find The excitement of DIsney is more in your face on the Dream...

Restaurants at the Orlando International airport

We've eaten both at McCoys and ordered room service. If we wer to order room service again, we'd split a meal, as it was so generous we had a lot left over that went to waste. Both were quite good. Remember that Chick Fil A is not open on Sundays, even at the airport.

last minute help for my sister

We took the tour of the chocolate factory and were really pleased with the instruction we received. It is very high quality chocolate and they worked at a pace that all could enjoy. You get to take a generous box back with you to the ship as well.

Different type of Formal Night Question

Absolutely! I love seeing them on all ages. I would think it would be a treat for little ones as well, more princesses running around! Go for it! Make sure to get pictures as well.

Hyatt MCO or Port Canaveral Hotel

Would definitely stay at MCO. Disney usually has a special rate. We do so because if there are ANY delays, we are able to just relax once we get there. Pack carryons with two days worth of clothes and have them handle your luggage. Should you be delayed and get in after the restaurants are...

Do you want to build Disney's attorneys a vacation home?

Weird Al gets permission for all of his parodies. Artists even ask HIM to do their songs, as it boosts sales and many admire his genius. Many even help him with production or even join in. He had one conflict that I know of where he thought he had or got permission from an artist's reps and then...

    Random Acts of Kindness

[GALLERY=][/GALLERY I also take chocolates for the crew. They always seem to love it. I was especially touched when I asked my cabin attendant if he liked the special Christmas flavor we found. He confessed he hadn't eaten them, but was saving for when he went home in a few weeks to see his...

Taking an apple off ship upon disembarkation?

Creatures like fruit flies can attach themselves to fruit enroute. Just because the fruit originated in Florida, doesn't mean a hitchhiker can't tag along on the trip back. The results can be devastating and the locals will have to deal with and pay for costly spraying should an infestation...
