Question that has nothing to do with construction, but some of you on here really seem to know your Disney stuff... How many fast passes will I get each day of my Grand Floridian stay? When I went last fall, we got about 3 each day from the magic bands and then received 3 more fast pass...

That would make me sad to see that, too. I have wonderful family memories at the Poly. I'm sure it will be beautiful when it's finished. I'm not so sure about that DVC- looks like it really messes with the nice views that used to be from the beach. And isn't the pool going to be super crowded...

If monorail isn't working you can always take the boat to MK. We preferred it when we stayed there- faster!

Any new photos of construction? We are booked for GF in April 2015, but really hoping we'll be able to switch to Poly (it's our fave!) if it looks like the pool will be ready. Tikimans page doesn't really seem updated much.

When we stayed at Poly the view of the fireworks was better than when you were in the actual MK! We were sitting over near the beach- so I guess it depends on the beach access when you visit.

We stayed in Samoa when we were there 2 years ago- it was a great spot! Close to everything and surprisingly super quiet!

Is there a good room to request at GF? I plan on just doing garden view, but would appreciate an opinion on maybe a noisy area we may want to avoid. By the way- our room at CR was extremely quiet- could not hear Chef Mickeys at all. I was surprised how quiet!

Thank you for letting me know that! I'm excited and now I will have stayed at all 4 MK resorts. We're very lucky aren't we? As a child I remember staying at Contemporary once and only once. It was such a treat that my parents saved up for.

We loved CR- like I said my only issue was the monorail maintenence, which goes on all the time. It happened when we were at Poly but we just took the boat, so no issues. We will stay at CR again sometime I'm sure. That's where I stayed as a little girl back in the 70's and have such nice...

We stayed at Contemporary last visit in the tower with theme park view. It was great watching fireworks from room. I am with you- Poly is our favorite. The issue I had with Contemporary- they were doing a little monorail maintenence during some of the days- the only way to get back to hotel...

Thank you safetymom! You by far have the best photos I have seen of the Poly construction. We stayed there a couple years ago for our first visit with our small children. No trip will ever compare to that one- it was the best. It really makes me sad they are changing that pool we enjoyed so...

Yes, I think you are right. Our second choice is Grand Floridian. That is the one MK resort we haven't stayed at yet. And the Disney agent I spoke with said I could always change reservation to the Poly a few months before. Anyone have experience with GF? Good rooms or not so good rooms...

We are planning a WDW trip for April 2015. The Poly is our very favorite and would really like to stay there. I called Disney and the operator I spoke to seemed to think it would be ok by then. We do not want to stay there if pool is still under construction. Opinions anyone??

I just checked out that site, interesting- doesn't look as "scary". The only difference is my kids would miss one less day of school- doesn't seem like much but it matters to us. Maybe I'll just brave it and book for that weekend- I'll get park hopper so we can escape if need be!!
