NEWS 5/17: Late 2019 itineraries released - link in post #1 (2020 watch thread will start soon)

I agree. Why would any want to sail out when the weather is so cold? :sad2: I wish they would offer some NY cruises in the late spring/summer months for us Yankees to enjoy. :worship:

    Mickey's Backyard BBQ vs. Hoop-Dee-Doo?

Hello! My ADR day is coming up soon. I've been researching new places we'd like to try this go around. I've received some great recs from the Disboards, but where I'm really stuck is the BBQ or the Hoop Dee Doo? We have 3 children, ages 10, 8, and 4. When we went on a cruise a few years ago the...

Renting points - Capital One Rewards?

Just an update to anyone who is also looking to redeem their Capital One travel points, David's codes as travel. (even though their representative told me they didn't) I was able to use the purchase eraser for my David's rental contract! I actually received an email from Capital One asking me if...

    DVC point renting options

Oh OK. Both my quotes were the same from both companies, you probably caught David's before they made the their price increase :cool1: They are both at 17 pts 11 months out now.

    DVC point renting options

Thanks, I am just curious as to how you came up with that? When I used David's cost calculator and DVC Store, they were both exactly the same.

    DVC point renting options

I am curious...we have a request in at one of the mentioned brokers. I am now finding out our request may be difficult to find. (I guess Poly members don't like to rent their points since they are so new---I didn't know this when I requested) Does anyone know if I can put in another request at...

    Memory Maker Question

Hello! We have decided to throw together a quick trip over to Disney on our drive from FT. Lauderdale back home to CT. I'm debating on purchasing the Memory Maker for that one day. We purchased it last year when we were there for 10 days, and plan to purchase it again next year for our week long...

    Chef Mickey ADR question

We will be stopping in Disney for one day on our way from Ft. Lauderdale back up to Connecticut. We plan on leaving my in-laws by 4am to avoid any traffic and to have a full day in the parks. I was able to score 7:45 am reservations at Chef Mickey. My question is, what if we do hit massive...

Do you like the Fastpass+ system?

I personally HATE the new system. :mad:Planning my entire vacation 30-60 days out? It was such a pain. I wish they would do it maybe like 5 days in advance. Then at least you could get a grip on weather conditions. We had planned for a day at the pool and planned all our FP on the other days...

    DVC point renting options

We decided to go with DVC Rental Store as well. David's upped their prices and now they are both the same price. It really worked for us not having to pay the full amount right now. I'm curious, how did it work out getting your choices? Were you able to get your 1st Choice, contacting them 11...

Help with my Mickey-ear head bands

I am curious too! My daughter has a large head...the curse of her father.:rotfl: We bought 2 pair last year while in the parks and she was so upset that after about 10 minutes she was getting a headache. :sad1:Would love to get some more comfortable headband ears for her for our next trip.

Memory maker when liked as family/friends

True, I purchased the Memory Maker for our trip. My brother, SIL, and Nephew were also going at the same time. I linked them and they were able to use the MM even without me. It got them on rides (in different parks than us at the time) and every time they took a picture and scanned their MB. I...

    DVC point renting options

I think that is who we will be going with. They have been SUPER responsive to questions I have had thus far. I have heard wonderful things about all 3, but to be honest the fact that we just have to pay a deposit now really works for us instead of the whole thing paid up front. Fingers crossed...

    Poly or Beach Club

Thanks! At every resort you'll have pool jumpers, I get it. I was just questioning why the Poly wouldn't be scanning...but you have reassured me :) I was starting to get a little concerned and then the quote that really threw me was one person said "There is no doubt in my mind that there was a...

Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

Thanks for the info. We plan on going in April, I guess I was more concerned at the number of guests that I saw complain that there was no lock on the gate to enter. MANY people were complaining that a MB is not required to enter the pools. These were as of 2015 into early 2016 posts though. So...
