Will the Royal Tea on the Fantasy ever change to attract repeat cruisers?

We were on one of the first sailings that had online booking for it. It goes fast! It is definitely worth getting on the wait list at guest services if you really want to do it. I would also wait to tell your little one about it until 1) you have a definite reservation and 2) it's fun to...

DVC Members' Meeting On Embarkation Day

We went to the member meeting on embarkation day on the Fantasy on January 24th. We were guests of my in-laws who are members. There were some games, loads of free drinks, free tervis-like tumblers and nice hats. Everyone was friendly and it was low pressure.

Newbie Question - To Extend the Fish or Not?

We chose not to do it. Our daughter is 6 and would love all the little trinkets, but honestly, there are enough special trinkets and surprises the whole trip that she never knew what she was missing. I chose not participate for a few reasons. 1) It would stress me out creating/picking out a gift...

Will the Royal Tea on the Fantasy ever change to attract repeat cruisers?

The doll my daughter got at the tea in January was an Aurora doll. The music box has Cinderella on it. The bracelet and necklace have a mix of charms. I think it would be nice if they changed it up, but personally, I counted it as a once in a lifetime fun experience and don't plan on repeating...

    Wave phones?

They are outdated and not super intuitive, but we found them to be very handy and had no trouble with them. We either kept it in a string bag or in my husband's pocket. We got every text quickly from the kids club. The app wasn't fully launched when we sailed at the end of January so my phone...

    Help with dining room attire

I wore dresses pretty much every night and my husband would wear khakis and polos usually. Like everyone has already said, dress code is pretty casual, but a lot of people do like the opportunity to dress up a little for dinner. Especially on formal night (we were on a 7 night on the Fantasy)...

Dream Cruise - first time with a toddler...

At least when our daughter was three back in 2011 they were selling super cute Nemo floatie rings at CC. They always have things that are good for all age ranges. We were just there a couple weeks ago and I'm pretty sure I saw some good choices of inflatables for little ones. I think a small...

    Do they have toothpaste?

Yes. They have it in the White Caps store in the part with the duty free items. They have loads of small toiletries people might forget. Even moleskin for blisters!

    Cant make up our minds

Our first cruise was a 3 night on the Dream and it just flew by! We just got back from our second cruise and it was a 7 night on the Fantasy. I absolutely LOVED the longer cruise. It was so relaxed and lovely. If you are doing the parks, I highly recommend doing them before the cruise so that...

Has anyone read Michener's Caribbean novel prior to sailing?

I haven't read it, but I do enjoy his writing. I have 438 days until our next cruise so I should have plenty of time to read it. :) Thanks for the suggestion!

Pirate Night changed for 2/14 Fantasy sailing!

Like I said, the letter (that I quoted from above) was in the navigator. I'm pretty sure we were handed that when we checked in prior to boarding. I'm not sure if things had been altered online before then.

Pirate Night changed for 2/14 Fantasy sailing!

For us, those were the two nights we were in Animator's Palate back to back (we had AERAAER) so it didn't change ours. Not sure how they handled it for the other rotations.

Pirate Night changed for 2/14 Fantasy sailing!

Here's what the letter in our first navigator said (the navigator we got before boarding): "During this sailing our departure from St. Thomas will be later than originally planned on Tuesday evening, due to berthing restrictions in the port. As a result, our popular Pirate Night will now take...

Pirate Night changed for 2/14 Fantasy sailing!

They moved our pirate night on our Fantasy 7 night (January 24-31st) and moved everyone's reservations!

    Princess dresses

And when the little girl is dressed as Queen Elsa, they call her Queen instead of princess (both at the parks and on the boat)!

    Princess dresses

Most definitely! My daughter dressed up as Elsa for half of our 7 night cruise on the Fantasy a couple weeks ago. :)

Poll-Do you really enjoy 22 oz. of beer?

I'm pretty sure, like I said before, some beers cost a bit more. There is a stout in O'Gill's for example that cost more like $8.

Poll-Do you really enjoy 22 oz. of beer?

I'm curious why you are pre-buying it? It seems to be the same price. Beer pricing depended on the brand of beer, but was generally $6.84 to $9.34 depending on the type (that includes tax/tip).

Poll-Do you really enjoy 22 oz. of beer?

It is glass with the cruise logo. It's very nice! Here's a pic (not mine).

Poll-Do you really enjoy 22 oz. of beer?

My husband got the mug on our trip a couple weeks ago. Being able to turn it in so as to not carry it all over or clean it was very convenient! It makes for a very nice souvenir too. :) Here's a not great picture of it. :)
