Best place for family of 8?

My sister and her family just returned from 8 days at WDW. They stayed at a brand new condo resort. The Bahama Bay Resort (800-527-2262), and LOVED it. It was about 10minutes away, in Kissimee. Have fun planning!

    considering Christmastime vist - suggestions?

The first two weeks of December are the lowest crowds of the year at WDW. All the decorations are up and the xmas parade is at MK in the evenings (certain evenings). We've been here twice for this. The kids are off two weeks for Xmas break, so they made up their homework then .. it worked...

    World Showcase with Kids

This year was our third try at Epcot and the first time we enjoyed it. We let the kids (5, 8 & 10) do the mask craft at each country. They enjoyed it, but we started in Canada at 1pm and didn't finish the countries until almost 7pm. We only ate a dessert, so it does take time. My 10yr...

    Votes needed for Epcot lunch!

Le Cellier. Best food of our 8day trip this month, and it was nice and quiet too.

    Trip in January or March?

You can see & enjoy twice as much at WDW when crowds are low. Ten minute waits in January vs 1 - 2 hour waits in March.

Just back and I don't think Spectro is worth it.

I agree.... Spectro is not worth it to us. We liked The Main Street Electrical Parade better. Crowds were light all week (1st week of Feb) this year, but after we had lunch at MK on a Saturday and came out of the restaurant it was a ZOO. Rides went from 5-10minute waits to 1 or 1 1/2 hour...

    FL Tours review...

HI, We used FL Tours from the airport to POR and then back after our stay last week. They were great, but remember to print and take your confirmation with you. The driver wanted $120 and my confirmation said $105. The person in charge left a message at our room that I owed them $120...

    Beaver Tails

I don't care for whole wheat either. However, I didn't notice last week that it was whole wheat (neither did my kids). Maybe it was the warm chocolate sauce over the top...mmmmm.....

    My POR review 1/31-2/8

The pools are open at night (I believe until 11pm). The main one seemed to be the only one heated. We swam after 8:30pm one night. There are no lifeguards on duty then though. My 10yr old dd wanted her hair braided. She has medium length and they told her it would cost about $26... and...

    Character Meals

I'd recommend Chef Mickey's (it's at the Contemporary Resort, so you can go on an off day from the parks if you'd like). It has Mickey, Goofy, Chipmunks, etc. Also, the princess breakfast at the castle was excellent!!

    Where to eat at Epcot?

We were just there twice last week. My dh said for fast food the Electric Umbrella was very good. We had lunch at LeCellier Steakhouse and it was excellent. The kids meals included a chicken breast w/fries, steak w/fries, cheeseburger w/fries, pasta, etc. The kids portions were very big...

    POR v. CBR

We stayed at CBR 4 years ago, and POR last week. Although we really enjoyed POR, we missed the feel of the CBR. There is no music playing by the pool or food court at POR. CBR has calipso music playing and really makes you feel like you could be in the caribbean. We also missed the beach and...

    My POR review 1/31-2/8

Because there are 5 of us, the AB section was our only option. It had a woodsy feel to it. The mansions were more open around them. We would stay at POR again. The rooms were very nice, and we had no problems with 5 of us in it. There is a small table with 2 chairs and plenty of storage...

    Inexpensive eating

Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom had PB&J or 2 hot dog meals (both with small drink and chips) for $3.50. MK had good kids meals at the restaurant near the mountains (Splash and Big Thunder)- it's a big place with a fixins bar for the sandwiches. Can't remember the name. My DH liked...

Anyone heard this?? Grand opening of Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa?

We just returned from POR and on the boat ride to DD, the driver was telling us about them. You can see them on the boatride, they are accross the water from DD. They all have balconies I believe he said and full kitchens. It is the biggest timeshare Disney has ever done. They will open one...

Chef Mickey's - make a ps right away

We really wanted to eat at Chef Mickeys last week. It was such fun 4 years ago. I tried to get a PS a month ahead on two nights, and could only get late seatings. I figured, low season, I'll call when I'm there and try for whatever will work. No luck - they were booked. If you want to...

Going to disney on honeymoon. . need restaurant rec's :)

I'd recommend LeCellier for lunch at Epcot. We were there last week, and it was quiet and the food was great. Don't miss the cheese soup. There is a beautiful garden just outside of it thats nice too.

    Beaver Tails

We had them twice last week. Voted as our best snack at WDW by 4 out of 5 of us. They come with many toppings. Our favorite was the chocolate hazlenut. They weren't open during the day, but in the evening they were. The cost was $3.25 to $3.50 each. They are big too! Have Fun!!
