Yes we do go to the parks on arrival day! So true the kids sleep to much better and we are all so anxious to get to see Mickey! We try and hit magic kingdom for as long as we can and watch the fireworks then head back! Then we don't usually watch the fireworks again when we head back to magic...

Yes but as said, you won't be able to see everything. I would make a list of the things you don't want to miss and route out your path!

Yes Yes Yes! This is our favorite place to stay! So Fun! I feel like I can just enjoy the resort versus the parks! Can't say enough wonderful things about it!

Oh fun! 5 days in the park with a 4 year old will be so fun! I have been a few times in April and it is a little crowded but manageable! Just utilize the fastpasses and hopefully that will help with any wait times.

I have been during that time frame and remember the crowds being low. But I would check the park hours as mentioned above, I always hate when Disney shortens their hours, but there are always Extra Magic Hours! :banana:

Sounds like you are off to a great start! We really enjoy Animal Kingdom, Epcot can be dull for the kids sometimes, Hollywood Studios has Awesome Thrill Rides - and Toy Story Mania!!!! Cape May Cafe is really good not a Character dining though! Garden Grill is a Good Character Dining option...
