There is a specific booking category of near Hospitality House. I would try book that if you would like to use the main pool and that area. That guarantees you one of the closer bldgs.

You can check the rundisney website for race schedules. Old key west now offers a seperate booking category for near hospitality house. So I would double check which you are booked for. If not in that category maybe you can switch or waitlist?

SSR has the 24th - 1st available in a studio. Not sure how many nights you were looking for? I possibly might have enouh points for a few nights, but not for entire stay.
