    Ticket question

Planning a short trip for November. I have not been to WDW since 2011 so I know a lot has changed. Really looking forward to a return visit. This trip is odd though - my daughter currently has an internship at WDW and she gets access to free tickets. I will be using 5 days worth of those...

Is Anybody Actually Happy To Go Home?

This past trip was the first time I ever wanted to go home. Of course, this was after spending 27 nights at WDW (plus 4 at Universal) over the past year (3 AP trips). Truly was too much of a good thing......

    Breakfast at Three Broomsticks

We ate breakfast there 3 weeks ago. Just got into line as the restaurant opened and got in right away. The only issue - the food was AWFUL and it was expensive.

    Via Napoli pizza question

DD13, DD11 and me (I am a big eater, kids not so much) ate a whole large pizza two weeks ago. We had two apps (they were fairly small). Medium looks big, but the crust is very thin and the toppings are fairly sparse. That said - we REALLY like this pizza.

Just returned - the good and the bad from Univeral

We just returned from an 11 night trip (7 at WDW then 4 at Universal). I must say that, for the first time, Universal beat (or at least matched) WDW. Here are some observations: 1) Universal costs are much lower than at WDW (and this is a good thing). I really liked the soda deal (buy...

Observations from recent trip (July 30 to August 5)

We (DD11, DD13 and DH - DW stayed home) just returned from a 7 night WDW and 4 night Universal trip. We had a really great trip overall. Some observations/ complaints: 1) We did the EMH morning hours for five of the seven days. We were never asked to show our resort cards to prove we were...

    POFQ review

We stayed at POFQ for seven nights (July 30 through August 5). It was my DD11, DD13 and me (my wife stayed home this trip). This was our first stay at a moderate resort and we absolutely loved it. We were in room 6124. I had requested a room in building 6 without an adjoining door and we...

    EPCOT - morning EMH procedure

I did mean the turnstyles. They roped off the center 8 or so turnstyles and said everyone would need to go through the two openings in the rope to get to the turnstyles. The only way this would have made any sense would have been to use this 'extra' entrance to check to make sure the...

    EPCOT - morning EMH procedure

This is what occurred on Friday, August 5 at the morning EMH for EPCOT. It was ridiculous.

    EPCOT - morning EMH procedure

Just returned from WDW. We used the morning EMHs at all parks. At DHS, MK and AK, they followed the opening procedures for a non EMH day (except that AK had no morning show). However, EPCOT has an incredibly stupid opening procedure. They do not follow the opening procedures from a non EMH...

refurbed french quarter rooms is the aircondition unit the same as in the past

Just stayed at POFQ. The room air conditioners stayed cold all night (I set it at 69 degrees) and all day. Never had any issues with a motion sensor type device.

    Rope Drop at AK

Has rope drop been moved back to the Tree of Life area, or is it still located right by the turnstile entrance?

Monorails to no longer operate during Evening Extra Magic Hours

What the WDW monorail system needs is .......... NEW MONORAIL TRAINS. The current trains have been running for over 20 years (longer than the first generation of trains ran before being replaced around 1990). Everything wears out, and the current trains are now so old and worn out that...

    becoming a staying off-site believer!

Given that our 1,100 square foot Bonnet Creek condo had two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a whirlpool, three beds (in two separate bedrooms), a living room and full kitchen table, washer/dryer and a large balcony from which I could see EPCOT fireworks, I think it can only be compared to certain...

    becoming a staying off-site believer!

We stayed at Bonnet Creek last year for 14 nights. It was our first time offiste after staying at WDW deluxe resorts for our previous 7 trips (8 to 10 night stays). It was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again. We saved alot of money doing this. BUT, we have always...

What is a not so typical souvenir you've gotten from WDW?

Most of 20 years ago, we went to Victoria & Alberts for dinner. The restaurant had an interesting vacuum type coffee pot (for when they served the coffee at the table). We commented on how neat it was, and received it (from our parents) as a gift at Christmas. It is still sitting in the...

Keens Venice H2 Sandals for WDW?

I have tried the Keen Venice for men. I found them to be a little to loose. I prefer the Keen Newport H2 (which I wear all the time in the parks).

    Drink question

I see that I can buy a $6.99 refillable mug in the parks. Two questions: 1) Is the mug park specific - do I need a different mug in each park? 2) Can the mug be used for more than one day? Thanks.

    PBH questions

    1) Do the rooms have a (free) refrigerator? 2) What is a good room request if I have booked a garden view room? 3) Are any garden view rooms close to the pools?
