    Work Vacation issue. WWYD?

After working in the healthcare industry and at a hospital where everything is based on seniority, this lady would be out of luck in our unit. And people who threaten to quit if they don't get what they want, then see you later. This is between her and the manager, not her co-workers.

Where I work, yes this would be covered under FMLA as long as I am out over 3 days. I have to use sick time first, then vacation to cover it. Once I exhaust any payable hours I have then it goes unpaid. We get points for every hour we are out sick, after so many points you get fired. FMLA...

    A Female Health Question............

My DD was sick as sick could be with headaches, dizziness, cramps. She has been on birth control since she was 15 (she's 19 now) and only has a period twice a year. Huge difference! If she has migraines with an aura she won't be able to go on BC as there is a higher chance of stroke.

Children's Hospital saying no to new hires who smoke

It comes down to health insurance. Where I work, we have to be enrolled in employee health programs for existing health problems such as weight, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, etc. You are given goals to meet and if you don't meet them, your premiums go up. Almost all the hospitals in my...

Hi! Check into the accelerated BSN programs. Also, you at not be eligible for loans due to this being a second degree. The only problem we see when orienting people with the accelerated degree is they seem to be lacking as many clinical skills as the traditional ones. As for degrees, if...

anyone a pro with scholarship stuff?

Her guidance office should have a list of local ones. Be aware that many of them are needs based, but sometimes no one else applies. Colleges will also go on ACT or SAT scores. Good luck!
