    Thanksgiving week strategy

In the same boat, but got FP's and ADR's for most of what we wanted, and only booked it last Wednesday. Hoping crowds aren't crushing, but expecting waits for everything. Been at Christmas twice, so trying to just be happy to be there (thanks Corey!)...

Orbitz: tell me why i shouldn't

Nice!! Thanks again, not used to using anything outside the "Disney bubble". Looks like it would save nearly $300 this way... :thumbsup2

Orbitz: tell me why i shouldn't

Well, I was putting in for fairly soon, 12/5-12/12 and chose POR, then priced it on Disney site apples for apples. Orbitz was $3041 with room discounted and their 4 day PH but give you 6 days. So put 6 days with PH on Disney site, came to $3095...

Orbitz: tell me why i shouldn't

That worked. But it ends up only being about $50 less than rack rate through Disney's own site, so not sure it's really worth the hassle or extra work at that point, hey?

Orbitz: tell me why i shouldn't

I don't think the Orbitz code works anymore. I just tried it in the Promo Code area and it says it expired... :(

    Which moderate???

POR is awesome next door! And I've been hearing good things about CSR too lately...

Help me decide POR or BC

We've stayed both, really enjoy both. Did a split between these two last time, it was nice. BC is our home resort so to speak, but we honeymooned at POR and stayed last time for our 15th anniversary. Love the boat to DD. Love the ease of transport into Epcot and DHS from BC. Both are nice. But...

    Is Illuminations worth seeing?

Is this a serious question? Of COURSE it's worth seeing!!

At the park now, FP+ lines are snaking through the park

I still have to think the REAL end goal is to completely monetize fp+. Once the larger public is used to booking these, Di$ney can start charging for it to "further increase the guest's experience". As many have said, Di$ney is all about the bottom line. What better way to increase it than to...

    FP+ Pros/Cons

Holy canoli do I agree with this! I've said it for years, Disney WILL make fastpass an income opportunity for them! Especially with the incorporation of parades and shows. It's coming...

    Arrival day ritual/routine?

Check in at the resort then off to DTD almost every time. Love walking around there and sort of easing into the full on Disney Experience. Also helps if we haven't received park tix yet...

    How "Thrilling" is Test Track?

I have a child not much older who was afraid of all the rides like this. He was afraid of TT too, but we talked, he reluctantly decided to try it, and he now loves it. My advice would be to work up to it slowly though, and build confidence... :thumbsup2

Is it just me or does it seem the parks arexpacked?

Well, true. Last year at this time (first week of December), Via Napoli was totally booked in the system, and we walked in for lunch our last day there without issue. So it IS possible. But looking at trying to book a resort with the room discount (or FD before it), everything seemed sold out...

Is it just me or does it seem the parks arexpacked?

I noticed an overall increase in crowds/reservations during this time, as we have gone this exact week for the last two years. Even from 2011 to 2012, it seemed to get more crowded/popular this week, and this is supposed to be a "slow" week. I think the old slow times at WDW are going away...

Mode of transportatiom between split stays

I'm sure Disney transport is fine, but we did cab. $13 or so last December between POR and BC. No hassles, had all our luggage with us, and we were actually able to check into our BC room right away with our luggage in tow. Then off to the parks... :cool1:
