    Garden walk parking

I'm glad I saw your post! I was trying to figure out a place to park for a quick trip into the park on our day of arrival. I couldn't stomach paying $30 for 3 hours in the park. I'm assuming the validation was for purchasing something at one of their stores? I'd also consider parking there for...

    Disney in a thunderstorm?

We just returned from 9 days in Orlando. We didn't get any rain in the first five days but it rained each of the last 4. Petty much all rides continued to operate with the exception of Test Track. Illuminations was delayed for 40 minutes and Fantasmic for about 15 minutes. Like everyone else...

I've hit a shopping wall. Anyone else? I'd love some website suggestions!

Ditto. And it seems like my whole family is fighting the same bug. No one has any ideas and they don't seem to be in a big hurry to provide any ideas. :headache: Normally I'd go for a gift card, but that's no longer a slam dunk with the economy in the tank. I hoping a big turkey dinner and...

Southwest opened up to May 8!

Thanks - I'm trying to book a spring break trip (4/10-4/18/09). But holy moley! If I book now, I'm looking at $1500 for 3 tickets. I'm hoping they'll come down now that the economy is totally tanking. If they don't, I don't know if we'll be able to do the trip. :sad2:

Win a free movie ticket - great odds!

Thanks - it worked for me. Has anyone won anything other than a movie ticket?

    Question for guinea pig owners

We have two Guinea girls and they are much messier than I thought they would be. We had some trouble with mites recently and we found out that we'd been feeding them a little too much, so one of them is considered "plus" sized. ;) The vet (who has 3 Guinea pigs of his own) advised us to change...

    Spreadsheet for Character Meals

I'm planning a spring break 2009 trip and would love a copy of the spreadsheet. Unfortunately the links to the google docs page is bad. Could you please send me a copy?

    Disneyland food....went down the tubes!!!

"The only food that I know of that has gone downhill is Blue Bayou, they raised prices, changed the menu, and started making things smaller." I totally agree with you. We always do lunch at the Blue Bayou when we visit, but after our lunch in September, we'll probably pass the next time we're...

    Which character breakfast?

We did Goofy's Kitchen last December and the Lilo & Stitch breakfast at the Paradise Pier during our September trip. Of the two, I think I prefer Goofy's Kitchen for both the food options and the character interaction. It's the most expensive option, but since it's part of your package, I'd...

What's so bad about California Adventure?

We really like DCA. It's grown on me over the years, and now we find ourselves spending a good chunk of time while we're at the parks. My DD & DH spend a lot of time on Screamin' and TOT. My daughter even loves Mullholland Madness. My advice: go check it out with an open mind. It may not...

    Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites

:thumbsup2 We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites on Walnut. It's your basic Holiday Inn. Nothing special and little worn around the edges, but it was quiet and clean. The best part of the hotel for me was the ability to walk out into the parking lot to watch the...

    Week After Easter?

Hi everyone. I have the opportunity to join my BIL and nephews at their Hilton timeshare in Orlando the week after Easter. I know it's a busy time for the parks, but how crazy is it? We'll have a touring plan and will use the fast pass system to the best of our ability. Will my DH's head...

    Poncho ?????

If you can live without the Disney logo, I'd buy them elsewhere. I bought 3 clear emergency ponchos from Target's camping section for $0.99 each. They're sold as a 2"x3" package, so I just popped them into my purse and off we went. Enjoy your trip! DU :earboy2:

Looking For A Little Help, Please...

We just got back from a stay at the Crowne Plaza (12/11-12/15/05). I got the room through priceline and was pretty pleased. Our room had two beds and was located on the 2nd floor. The room itself was pretty nice. The full sized beds were a bit small, but were comfy. There is a fridge in the...

    Has anyone used getawaytoday.com?

I used them to buy my tickets for our last trip and had no problems. They were running the buy an adult ticket, get a kids free promotion, so it worked out well for us. Hope you have a good trip! DU

    Get Away Vacation ??

Do you mean Getaway Today packages? If so, I know a lot of people who have used them and have been really happy. We get the brochures at work but I've always found that I could book things separately and my final price was always cheaper than the package price. But if you're looking for the...

Fireworks Schedule Fri/Sat till next Summer??

Our last trip to DL was in May 2002 and fireworks were only done on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I don't know if that's going to be the case next year. But I'm looking at going in December 05 and am facing the same dilemna. I'll let you know how our adventure turns out. Have a good trip!

    Embassy Suites South

Kay, the suite does have a separate living room and bedroom with a door separating the two. When we stayed at the hotel, we had a king suite - a king bed in the bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the living room. It worked out great as our then 5 year old felt like she had her own room!
