I second the Nevergirls series. My now 4th grader loves them. Easy reads but fun she is counting down the days for the next one book 8 on Jan 6th lol also second the boxcar children. That was a fav of mine as a kid.

I would figure out how much you want/can afford for the entire stay and divide from there. I think tipping is a nice gesture and I'm sure mousekeeping appreciates any amount. It can add up among several rooms.

Absolutely worth it. But to me even a small savings adds up and is worth it to me. Just make sure they scan your cartwheel BEFORE they total for payment or it doesn't work.
