My husband requested his "chocolate lava cake"...but I didn't ask for more food. I guess because I had ate so much prior to dinner (LOL) and knowing the portions were small at dinner helped my decision to eat more during the day...especially deserts. At dinner they didn't have any good...
I guess we agree...like I said everyone has their own opinion. I wasn't impressed with the dining menu options and portions on the Dream. I think the food choices and portions were better on the Wonder and Magic. Some people are into how nicely arranged the food looks on a plate...Im more...
I just returned from the Dream...I've sailed the Magic and Wonder. I would say the Wonder was my best experience...then the Magic, then the Dream. The hype of the Dream is just that "hype". They cut back on a lot of little things that the Wonder and Magic did, in which I missed. Out of all 3...
I was not very impressed with the Dream...the service is still great but you can see where they have scaled back a lot from past cruises. My best DCL experiences were on the Wonder and Magic. I think I will stick to those ships. The staff on the Dream was new and many didn't know about the...
I've seen several articles that says deck 8 is one of the best...I guess because there is only staterooms above and below...(very quiet). I don't think it matters...but I've heard deck 2 gives off a lot of engine noise and vibrations.
Bring pirate costumes or accessories for the kids and yourself. Bring a small night light and keep it plugged in the bathroom for those late night trips...the rooms are very dark at night and the night light keeps a settle path of light. It prevents someone from banging into something and...
I booked a cat 9a on the Dream...and was bumped to a 6a. They don't have that many cat 9a rooms so I would take my chances...the worse case is...u end up with a cat 9a.
Yes, I do remember that class...my daughter decided to ditched me and my husband to take that class rather than go on an excursion we paid for just to take that class...:lmao:.
Right now they are watching the NBA playoff's...every year I go on DCL around this time...everyone is sitting around on the top deck watching the playoff's/finals.
I've been trying to talk my mother into going on a cruise for the longest. I've offered to pay her way and she seems to have a fear of being on the ocean for days. I even suggested the 2 day cruise that will be offered in NY next year as a starter. Has anyone else had this fear and overcame...
My experience has been, when the ship is leaving US water, it get's rough...it seems like that transition is the only time (going and coming) that I've felt anything and that seems to be late night...I've never felt anything during the day or early evening...(maybe a slight motion). That's why...
I hear it's one of the top rated cabins...with a HUGE verandah :thumbsup2. They say the room is one of the largest in its category and slightly larger than a handicap room...enjoy!
It varies...some people get them faster than others. I've noticed that the inside cabins usually get theirs first...the others take a little longer. Once they realize the ship is full and it's past the time where most people paid in full and don't cancel...they start giving out room assignments.
