Can resale members purchase a TIW card?

I think it just depends on the cast member you get. We bought a TIW card on June 2, 2019 that expires July 31,2020. But we the last one we bought (5 or 10 years ago) expired exactly 12 months after purchase.

TOTW closed July 4th for paid event

Everything I've seen refers to the LOUNGE being closed for this event. Maybe I missed it, but is the observation deck is still open? I'm not staying over the 4th, but if I were, this scenario might have it's advantages. I would never bring my own cocktails into the Lounge, but I wouldn't feel...

Prioritizing partially used non exp tickets

I keep our family's non-expiring tickets in separate profiles from our APs. The problem you may have is I don't think you can reassign a partially used ticket. It should work if you create new profiles to put the APs into.

This UY: What size units did you visit?

I booked a 1 bedroom for my family of 4, a 2 bedroom for DS and his friends (college graduation trip), and a studio for DD and a friend. I voted for all three since I "booked" the 2 BR and studio even though I didn't "visit" them.

School Calender just came out. Would you rebook your vacation?

LOL. Maybe a good parent would have asked her that question. But she wasn't the type of kid to ask for help, and she didn't tell us about the missed concept until her senior year of high school and by then it was irrelevant. For the record though, Algebra was spread over 7th and 8th grade, so...

An open letter to Disney about mandatory room checks.

Given that there are no reports of CMs disengaging a U-latch to enter a room, does anyone have experience with how long a CM will continue to knock when the latch is engaged? For people who don't want to be roused from naps, would "playing possum" until the CM leaves because s/he assumes you...

School Calender just came out. Would you rebook your vacation?

We bought into the mantra "Don't take your kids out of school for vacations" for most of my oldest DD's grade school years. When she was in her second year of middle school, we had had enough of blistering heat and afternoon thunderstorms so we pulled both kids out in November (DS was in 4th...

Guest experiences with daily room checks

We were at BWV Sunday May 6 to Friday May 11. I don’t mind being interrupted when we’re in the room, but I’m uncomfortable with people going into our room when we aren’t there. We’re DVC, so we’re used to putting out the Do Not Disturb sign and not worrying about it. Before we left, I printed...

SDFP: CHANGES COMING!! Beware the 7th of June?!

I figured this might be the case, but I wanted input from experts before I jeopardized Billy and Susie's profiles next month. :-)

SDFP: CHANGES COMING!! Beware the 7th of June?!

I know this is a hypothetical at this point, but the question occurred to me... Say Billy and Susie plan a trip and book FP+. At the last minute, something comes up and they don't make the trip. Their friends Michael and Jane decide to go for that same time period, but there are no good FP+...

Fastpass+ Tiering System Doesn't Look Good to Me...

The "magical benefits" are that it takes opportunities away from people who are willing to work for them, and gives them to people who are not. Get used to it Comrade.

    problems with multiple master contracts?

OP, We did what your parents are contemplating. We wanted to add points, and we wanted our adult children, who would soon no longer share our legal address, to receive perks when they went to WDW without us (this was prior to the April 4 announcement obviously). We added a second master with...

    DVC AP& large families?

If you decide to add on, you could title the new contract differently than the old one. This would give you two separate memberships and I believe each membership would be entitled to buy 8 APs.

    12 day ticket?

Have you considered adding Water Park Fun and More to your ticket? For $60/person you'd get 10 admissions for everyone to both waterparks, Disneyquest, Oak Trail golf course, both miniature golf courses, and the ESPN sports complex.

    Just submitted an offer!

I agree with the advice to put a time limit on the offer. Last fall, I made a full price offer (with me also paying all closing and management fees on unused points) on a Monday afternoon. By Thursday morning I still hadn't heard anything so I emailed the broker that the offer would expire at...

    DCP- Bucket list help! :)

My DD was Merchandise for Fall 2013-- Congratulations on a great role! Since Merchandise can trade to other locations with few restrictions, one of her Bucket List items was to work in every park in as many different locations as she could. She didn't think of it until November and was really...

accounting about a week behind on gift cards

I called today to pay dues on two separate contracts with 9 gift cards, 2 Disney Visa rewards redemption cards, and a credit card. She let me use 7 of the gift cards with the other three forms of payment to pay dues on the first contract. My second contract is titled differently and has a...

Rented points from Davidsfirst week of feb 15

I agree that a simple email request to one owner won't jeopardize anything. The question is, if this became a routine occurrence, would David's supply of points begin to shrink? I don't know. I'm not sure anybody posting here knows. But if David thinks they will, he is wise not to start up...

Rented points from Davidsfirst week of feb 15

One thing I don't think I've seen addressed is that David's business model relies on convincing as many owners as possible to deposit their points with him. I would wager that most owners who are willing to do additional legwork, however minimal, are not willing to settle for the $11/point that...
