    Club Villain Watch Thread-2017

I just wanted to add that I've been to Disney parks here and abroad countless times - and Club Villain was my favorite Disney parks experience ever. It helped that we went on a rare long weekend without the kids, but it would have been just as fun with kids along (though much more expensive)...

Club Villain - best thing I've ever done at Disney.

I just wanted to say for anyone considering it - Club Villain was the best thing I've ever done at Disney in dozens of visits. My wife and I just took a weekend trip without the kids (first one ever) and it was so far beyond my expectations. It was like going to the most amazing Disney wedding...

Having second thoughts on going to MNSSHP - It's the price

It's my favorite event of the year at Disney World. The parade, fireworks, characters in costumes, and the general vibe of it all is just wonderful. That said, I don't think their Disney trip will be any less exciting for not going to it. I'm sure they'll spend that same time doing something...

Enchanted Tales w/Belle vs Beauty & the Beast - Live

Both are fun, but if I'm comparing the two Enchanted Tales wins by a mile. The entire experience from beginning to end is one of the coolest and most intimate at Disney. Every kid gets a chance to participate in the story. The mirror effect to transport to the castle is pretty outstanding too.

    Enchanted Tiki Room

Under New Management was terrible. I was so glad they returned it to the original show. They need to start letting you bring in your Dole Whip like Disneyland though. Disneyland Tiki Room wins just because of that.

Whoa ~ A gator near miss story.

It is one of those things passed from person to person for many many years, but it is not recommended by any experts. Search for it online and you'll find that experts agree that it doesn't make any sense. Alligators are super quick at lunging, but for flat out running they top out at about...

Whoa ~ A gator near miss story.

This is an old myth. If an alligator chases you just run away in a straight line as fast as you can. Alligators do not typically chase people on land. If you get a good distance away the alligator doesn't care about you anymore and the quickest way to get away is to run in a straight line.

Which Fireworks: Illuminations or Stars Wars Galactic Spectacular?

If you are a Star Wars fan - Star Wars by a mile. The Star Wars fireworks show is my favorite fireworks show Disney has ever done.

    Late Breakfast Reservation at Ohana

We booked the latest breakfast reservation they offered during our last trip in January. The characters all came by our table within about 10 minutes or so of us being seated (which was actually pretty nice to get out of the way). Nothing was rushed. We got up and participated in a parade...

DISNEY if you don't want the average Joe to stay at the parks just say so...

I'm only 37, but I've seen dozens of episodes of Disneyland. Especially in that first year (but throughout the run of the show) there were lots of park updates and the shows themselves revolved around a specific area of the park (Davy Crockett's movies were 'Frontierland' episodes). It was a...

A little perspective on the Disney cost increase frustrations.

Yes - everyone sees themselves as the "average" family and feels Disney deserting the average family when the cost is getting to be too much for them. The reality is - if you have running water, let alone have ever been lucky enough to even once visit a place like Disney - you are living a life...

DISNEY if you don't want the average Joe to stay at the parks just say so...

Really? They were running a national TV show with enormous ratings called "Disneyland" for a year prior to opening that was basically an advertisement for the park. I think they had a sense there was pretty big interest.

DISNEY if you don't want the average Joe to stay at the parks just say so...

Yeah - this makes no sense to me. If anything it makes the point that they should make as much money as they can now to help get through the tougher times.

DISNEY if you don't want the average Joe to stay at the parks just say so...

I'm not so sure about this. Capacity at Disneyland was around 50,000 in the early days. That's about 18 Million bodies coming through in a year (many of whom were repeat visitors and even international guests). The population of the US at the time was 165 Million. The true "average" family...

DISNEY if you don't want the average Joe to stay at the parks just say so...

If they wanted to do this they would get rid of Annual Passes and lower the 1-10 day ticket prices. I'm an annual passholder currently and the annual passes don't even make sense to me. They are way too good of a deal and people are taking up a lot of space that aren't buying all the...
