December 2001 and March 2002 Pictures

Here are some pictures from my two most recent trips. The December pics contain some of the parade during MVMCP on December 6th. This was my first solo trip, though I did meet with a CM friend (in the EPCOT pictures) on my last day. I stayed CBR, but sadly, those pictures did not survive the...

    best resort at christmas time

I'm partial to the Coronado Springs during the holidays. The South American influences makes it feel as if you are vacationing in a foreign country. Plus, the tropical climate of Florida works well with the experience.

    Towel Animals

On my last solo trip, I took a couple of stuffed animals and housekeeping always found something interesting to do: animals in the window, watching TV, in the bathroom with a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, swinging from the light fixture, etc... I left a daily tip (since I tend to be very...

What is Florida like in January?

My vacation time of choice is New Years Eve and a few days after. Of course, New Years Eve is very crowded. The following days are great since most of the other vacationers have left. Traveling Alone

I took my first WDW solo trip last December and had a blast. Not once did I feel lonely or out of place. And coming from someone with a social phobia, that is saying a LOT!!! I rarely made reservations for dining, since I prefer to dine with a companion. However, the one time I did, it was at...

Advantages and Disadvantages of Going Solo

I went by myself just last December for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and was there for four days. It was incredibly relaxing for me since I didn't have to worry about any travelling companions. While I'm no Disney Commando, I still tend to pack a lot of things into a trip and make...

I cried today when I cancelled our onsite reservations...

I'm staying off-site for my trip in March. I just couldn't justify the cost of a moderate or better resort, when I could get a suite at the Doubletree at DD for the price of a moderate. Without early entry, there just didn't seem to be any point. Plus, I'll have my own car with me. So...

    Advantages to statying on-siteat WDW?

What are the advantages to staying on-site now that early entry is no longer with us? I'm going to WDW in March2002. I'm not worried about parks reaching capacity and refusing entry. I'm just as happy visiting resorts and shops. Any comments/suggestions?
