Thanks for this! Is the walk to Sapphire when it is open a long walk compared to Royal Pacific? And is it scenic?

I'm so out of it, I thought Sapphire had a bus! I've only stayed at Portofino a LONG time ago, and Royal Pacific, also years ago....

OK, one more question, if we wanted to spend an evening at Portofino, what would you recommend? What time are the opera singers? I can't find any mention of them on the hotel website. And if you wanted to catch them, which restaurant would you recommend?

Actually, I just called. We can park, get a parking receipt, and if we spend $25 at the restaurant the front desk will validate the parking! Yeah! I've wanted to try the onsite hotel restaurants but haven't because of this potential obstacle. (We spend enough money!)

What is the best way to get there if you drive to Universal and have an Annual Pass? My husband uses a scooter and it is large so taking a bus doesn't work. Would we have to pay for parking even though we have a handicapped sticker? We don't have to pay at Disney if you have a reservation.

If I remember correctly, they charge, at least if you are staying at the hotel. We stayed at Royal Pacific a few years ago. I dont know if you are just going for dinner what they would do. I would call. If you do, report back!

I think you should be able to use them during this coming Mardis Gras too. I have a whole lanyard left. And they did say you could use them on snacks, but a better value should be next Mardis Gras. Obviously only if you are planning on being there.

Actually. I found a lot on Open Table. Bahama Breeze, capital grille, benihana... lots to choose from. Just check distance from where you are staying. Even The Boathouse had slots left.
